reinstalling worked, thanks for the help

update: task manager shows that theres a hl.exe running in the backround, it doesnt close when closing steam only way to close it is by task manager
ok so its something with source sdk, tried to open a mod that worked before and same thing happened

still nothing

and how to check that?

So when I try to play steam says im in Thunder Leaves but the mod doesn't open (I have source sdk 2013 set to upcoming and half life 2 downloaded)

whenever i launch any mmod ver (hl2,episodes or mods) the game crashes and an error pops up saying "Could not load library client.Try restarting. if that doesn't wortk, verify the cache"
