I think this mod is not as bad as some ratings may suggest.
There are however some parts that are unfair.
If it's a unforgiveable mod (that's fine), then don't lock a Brute inside a closet and freeze the player.
Also, the music sometimes made it impossible to hear any monsters. Again for an unforgivable mod, that's not fair.
Some "puzzles" are harder and some items are not as easy to find. However, since I got some warning out of the comments, I started out knowing it was "that kind of a mod".
This helped me to be honest. I only had to look up the thing that the monster dropped. I couldn't figure out where it was, since it was so far away from the point where you get the message you could hear him drop something.
I enjoyed it.
I never played the original one, so I can not compare.
It's a short mod
Maps are looking good, however the mod is having lag all the way (and I'm completely sure this is not my computer).
The puzzle got me, since one button only appeared after doing something else, while I already checked there.
It would have gotten a higher rating if there was something really interesting or new about it.
I think it's okay, but not really anything refreshing. A 6 for me sounds like a good in-between
As an experienced player, I really like some harder modes on the original story. Especially since the original Hard Mode wasn't..... thát hard.
Enjoyed this mod.
Only down part for me, the monster placements are still exact the same. But they re-spawn when you die. That's cool.
I still need to play through the Fatal Mode though.
Short mod, but enjoyable!
Had a few big laughs:)
Great job
I played this mod more than once and I think it's amazing.
Boss fights are cool, not too hard but very do-able. The mod takes a while to finish, especially on your first playthrough.
This mod was an amazing experience, even after playing it more than once:)
I'm not giving a 10 quickly. Also, a 9 is still a high rating for this mod. But there are some small things that didn't feel right to me.
In the conversations they often talk to each other "brother" "little brother" "my husband", like in every scentence. That doesn't feel like a natural conversation to me. But I have to say it's a big + you took the time to get voice acting everywhere.
Also some small grammatical errors, but not too bad.
Can't wait for the third part. Hopefully that will be a 10! :)
I think it's a very good mod.
There's no voice acting or anything -really- special here, but it's still really good and deserves a good rating.
A lot of optional chambers, sometimes you have to backtrack a bit for this.
Once you know the way, you can finish it quite fast. First time playing it took me a while.
I like this custom story, a lot.
It's hard in places and the bosses are hard as well, unless you know what to to with them. It takes a while to get an understanding, but then it's not too bad anymore.
The thing I really disliked - the platforming (in the cloud area). This killed me even more than the bosses did and I (really) hope this won't come back in this form.
Sometimes the maps were confusing when playing first time, but once you sort them out, it's not -really- that confusing anymore.
Also - I really did NOT know how to avoid any of the dogs. I just let them kill me to get rid of them.
I can't wait to see Act 3.
It's a good custom story!
The only things that kept me from a higher rating are the puzzles (basically the same over and over again) and somewhat story telling.
Still, it's a good mod and I enjoyed playing it
I'm not really a big fan of mazes, that's why I was never able to finish the other custom story (Maze of Lost Memories).
That's why I'm not completely into the story, but I still played this custom story.
I really enjoyed it and it was really well made. I didn't encounter glitches (I'm a good person finding them, I figured).
I didn't notice the "hard mode" and "regular mode" in the beginning and I acidentally started off with hard mode, oops. The regular mode was the same for me, but it seems like that was because the "Amnesia Hard Mode" also changes the monsters in custom stories.
The "funny mode" adds some fun, but I do not recommend using this mode in your first playthrough of this mod (if anyone thinks about that). It kinda ruins the atmosphere ("funny" mode, duh)
You used music from the game Layers of Fears. Some may not have any feelings with this, but I did. This game has left me with quite some (emotional) feelings. By using the music in your custom story I was instantly reminded of this. Of course, this is something personal, but for me it gave something extra.
Great experience, thank you!
