Do you mean Italian translation for Resurrection? There isn't any. And I didn't hear from anyone starting translation into Italian.

Do not copy the files into main Fallout 2 directory. That won't work as you have found out. You need Resurrection files in its own Resurrection directory in Fallout 2 directory.

First of all, in WINE, you need to set "native, builtin" for files "ddraw.ini" and "ddraw.dll" in the Fallout 2/Resurrection directory in order to ensure that all Sfall functions run properly.

But your problem is probably with DirectX 9. First try to change the graphics mode using the Configuration Program. The "Original - 8bit" setting is your best bet in this case.

If non of the graphics modes work, check if you have any DirectX dll files in Fallout 2 directory (with "dx9" in its name, like d3dx9_43.dll file). Since original Fallout 2 runs for you, it's possible you have them there. If there are such files, copy them into Resurrection directory.

Hi!

Are running fores.exe and do you have Resurrection files in Resurrection sub folder in Fallout 2 folder? Meaning path to fores.exe is supposed to be Fallout 2\Resurrection\fores.exe
If all of that is OK, try run it as an administrator.

Kriss Super V is best choice againts them indeed. Another is .223 Pistol or DKS pistole/rifle if you're using aimed shots. From energy weapons use any plasma weapon.
If you travel with Crimson Caravan and encounters are too hard for you, travel with some other company. Crimson has hardest encounters.

AP ammo has higher damage in Resurrection than in original Fallout 2.

btw.: Díky za chválu :)

You can only scale everything, making it two times larger. See my previous post, replay to Kristijonas, where I write how to do it. But result is pretty much the same as lowering resolution.

1, 2: Yes, I intend to add it.

3: And when you launch the game directly without config, any of that doesn't happening?

5: You have to convince her that she forgot the necklace among her things, that it never was stolen. And since you have ****** her off, you can't do that, you can't finish the quest.

1, 2: You can scale the game, making everything two times larger. Open file Fallout 2\Resurrection\f2_res.ini for editing and set parameter SCALE_2X to value 1 instead of 0.
3: I don't know what's up with that. How many times do you repeat that before it happens? I tried it like 10 times now and failed to reproduce the problem. The game always starts for me.
4: The game isn't visible at task bar at some computers, that's some strange bug of High Resolution patch, but should be still accessible with alt+tab again.

Sadly, Sfall version included in Resurrection doesn't have this function. And we're using custom Sfall with some modifications, so by replacing it with different version of Sfall will cause bugs in the game. We plan to include newer version of Sfall in the next version of Resurrection with possibility to replace Sfall files without causing the problems, but this isn't certain yet.

There's in-game time that pass mainly when you travel or sleep and after 10 years of in-game time from start of the game, the game ends.

Original Fallout 2 has 13 years limit, we changed it to 10 years for the story reason. And since the worldmap is smaller than in Fallout 2, you don't need to travel through it that much like in Fallout 2.

It can't be changed. It's hardcoded in our executable, because there wasn't Sfall with this function in the time we were making it. But it's possible that with the next version of Resurrection, we'll move this function to Sfall. Not guaranteed though, it's just something we're looking into.

The game has 10 years time limit. But that's more than planty of time, no need to worry about that.

You have installed DirectX from that link and the same message about DirectX still appears? Isn't there different message now by any change? What is your OS?
Try compatibility mode set to WinXP. Try various Graphics modes settings in the Configuration Program.

Do you have German version of Fallout 2? We have found out that non-English versions can cause this problem. Something that we didn't know before. We're investigating it. For now, only way to solve it is to use English version of Fallout 2. You should be able to download English version from GOG.

The game's around 25 hours long during normal gameplay. However, as with the original Fallout games, there are many ways to solve quests and many quests you may not discover at first. That means Resurrection's play time will be different for every player, and it's worthwhile to play through it several times.

There're some new perks, otherwise base mechanics are still the same.
