How to make: Republic at War work online on GameRanger

Cybernetics Blog 2 comments

Republic at War 1.1.5 for Forces of Corruption.

Hint: If you make a copy of the original Data-folder for Forces of Corruption and save it someplace on your computer before adding the mod-files, then you have the option to switch Data-folders from the MOD to the ORIGINAL instead of reinstalling your game.

*If you already got Republic at War installed, continue to step 4*

1: Download the mod: Moddb.com. And install it.

2: Go inside forces of corruption data-folder and delete all the folders from Art to Xml, do not delete the meg-files.

3. When republic at war is installed it will most likely be placed inside the mods-folder, open mods and locate the data-folder for republic at war, open the data-folder and copy all the folders and files inside of it and paste them inside forces of corruption data-folder.

4: Go inside forces of corruption data-folder and delete the Xml-folder.

5: Download the working online Xml here: Spaces.hightail.com

6: Extract the rarfile and open the extracted folder, copy the *Xml* and paste it inside forces of corruption data-folder.

7: You're done, remember all the players need the same Xml to be able to play together online.

Enjoy the game

*Synchronisation Error* on Forces of Corruption/GameRanger? Here is how you fix that

Cybernetics Blog

Some players get *sync error* when either you or some other players spawns heroes like Boba Fett, to fix that click on your Data folder inside Forces of Corruption and delete the folder named Script. If you don't got that folder make sure everybody check thier Data folder and delete the Script. Because even if you don't got the Script folder you still get *sync error* if some other player got it.

Hope this fixed the issue.

For both CD AND STEAM Versions

*CD*

1: If you are using CD version of the game make sure you have the 1.1 patch and not 1.0 patch, if you are using the 1.0 patch, only the players with the old patch can join you when you host a game on gameranger, and when you join a host who has the 1.1 patch you will not be able get in the gamelobby. To fix that download this: Gamershell.com. Apply the patch inside Forces of Corruption and click on it to update to the newest patch.

2: If you're joining someone who uses STEAM you won't be able to see the game inside the gamelobby. To fix that you need to update the XML folder, to do that. Download this: Static.dolimg.com

3: Also make sure you only got two files inside XML-folder(GAMECONSTANTS and GRAPHICDETAILS)

4: If gameranger aborts your game when you try to Host or Join, go to HELP->HOSTING HELP, you will see the standard router fix.

CD: This should fix the issues you had with Gameranger.

*STEAM*

1: Go inside Forces of corruption DATA folder->XML folder-> Inside the XML you might need to look for a folder or file called AI, delete it.

2: Most STEAM users only got the GAMECONSTANTS file inside the XML folder, and for most STEAM user that's all you need to play it online, but then you can only see the STEAM users not CD users inside the gamelobby. To fix that download this: Static.dolimg.com

3: If the link on step: 2 didn't update your XML folder, download this: Spaces.hightail.com and place the file inside your XML folder.

4: Also make sure you only got two files inside XML-folder(GAMECONSTANTS and GRAPHICDETAILS)

5: If gameranger aborts your game when you try to Host or Join, go to HELP->HOSTING HELP, you will see the standard router fix.

STEAM: This should fix the issues you had with Gameranger.

How to make: Stargate - Pegasus Chronicles 1.6.2 work single player and online on GameRanger

Cybernetics Blog

*This mod is for Star Wars - Empire at War: Forces of Corruption

Works for both Steam and CD versions of the game.

Hint: If you make a copy of the original Data folder for Forces of Corruption and save it someplace on your computer before adding the mod-files, then you have the option to switch Data folder from the Mod to the Original instead of reinstalling your game.

1: Before you do anything make sure Forces of Corruption isn't modded from a previously mod because there are some MEG-files in the original you need to play Stargate, or else it might crash on single player or crash/sync error when playing it online.

2: Make sure you got WinRAR or 7zip for extracting files.

3: You need to manually download and extract the first patch 1.0.1 before beginning with step 4

Link to the patch 1.01: Stargate-eaw.de

4: Click on the SGTPCLauncher and run it.

5: Start the update of the files.

6: When you are done, open the Mods folder--->Stargate--->Patches. Extract the first patch 1.0.1 you had to manually download, then continue with the rest. Open the Data folder you created with the patches and copy/replace all of the Data files inside FOC. When you're done, go inside the altered FOC Data folder and click on XML, inside the XML you should have 324 files with two folders *AI and Audio*.

Enjoy the mod single player or online on GameRanger.

HINT: Now that the Forces of Corruption has been altered to Stargate, you can also make a copy of that Data folder and save it someplace on your computer. If you followed my first *HINT* you will now have both the Original and the Stargate Data folder. So when you want to play either the Original or the Stargate just replace the Data to the game you want to play. No more reinstalls.
