I am sorry you had to do this, it isn't fair but just what i've come to expect from most gaming communities now. Mix this with the fact you have alot of idiots nowadays saying "MODS R CHEATING!! U R BAD 4 MODING" you get a great mix of morons who shouldn't be allowed anywhere near a game, LET ALONE a computer. Thank you for what you gave us friend and good hunting STALKER. P.S. if ever you did come back, i know I and a large group of fellow STALKER fans would be more than happy to bug test for you.

Well its best to look at this way...First place is king this much we know and whatever won good on em...but 2nd place? That's limbo, you are neither top nor 3rd place I.E. king of the losers...i'd rather be king of the losers than handed a consolation prize of 2nd "you were not QUITE good enough to be first have a small golf clap" ya know? ....The zone was created when C-consciousness tried to pry into the noosphere to make tweaks to our consciousness..and instead created a rift which made the zone. Alot of people ask that and honestly did no one get past the wish granter endings? XD

Ok lemme go a bit more indepth. When tib sun first came out, it wasn't CNC in the eyes of alot of fans (mechs, music, the feel all were differnt), the critique scores of the game didnt do well, BUT my freind. With all damn good thing, it had enough followers to be not...big, but i spose CULT status should be used in this instance. Take blade runner, MASSIVE film, tones of people know about it, not many people like it. Same with tib sun, everyone knows about it but it only has rabid fans that adore it behind it, it doesn't have a mainstream audience, this is the point i was trying to make :). As i said dont get me wrong, tib sun is prolly my fav stradegy game so I am one of those rabid fans lol.

.....I wish more people were more innocent like this :/
EA, infact most games companies would rather see the mod go under...
Some games companies to be sure look at the mods for there games and think "great, nice work". EA would think "how dare they steal our mone- i mean idea!!" even though it isnt theres and this mod has prolly done more justice for CnC than 3 and 4 ever did...but even still, on a business stand point...Tib Sun isnt a money maker, and infact isn't one of the most liked CnC's (don't get me wrong i adore it but alot of the fans didn't like the whole mech/futuristic asspect), and therefore in EA's eyes, isn't worth the time..nice thought kid but this world doesn't work on things you'd like to see :(

its simple. People have no patients, they want everything then and there handed to them all nice and quickly...TBH i usualy don't get angry at such matter, but this is the 5th damn mod im watching and im getting sick of "OMG WHY R THAR NO UPDATE!? WHY NO MOD RELEASE!? YOU SLOW WAHHHH WAHHH WAHH!". Please...before the human race crashes and burns itself, learn some patients...learn some common sense...and for F"£!S sake if people are that DESPERATE then learn to model, code, map whatever yaself, come to these mods (including this one) and help out instead of demanding it faster than they can make it! Rant off...

Ahhh yes cyrus, i often find myself doing the same (not on as grander scale of masters degress and such of corse lol mostly just for college go'ers and certain courses we have going on here atm in england). Main point is these people, plus people i know have spent well into 11 grand on a "college games course", i've taught my freind more about mapping than he's learning in that stupid corse, and there A grades apprently are reserved for people who make little toaster with silly faces and human arms. On the flip side, stuff like my freinds work, a full on scale space station video about a robot cook, made from kitchen utencils and an old pc tower, is only worth a D...THIS is what college gets you :/.

how foolish that you'd think that this sort of thing could be taught in a college...you'd be interested to read about how many people in games companies had no formal college or university training, that kind of comment is just plain stupid and almost a pre-programmed, brain washed comment. You learn NOTHING in a college which cannot be learnt outside of the place, and LOST ALPHA would be good enough for them to get in quite a few companies. "START TO LEARN PROFESIONALLY" is just another word for "Im rich so i can pay to have this taught to me!!" thats it.

Except half the worlds population wouldn't play test it, they'ed bitch about how unfinished it was lol. have patients dude, it#s getting closer ya know. But that is a serious argument right there, no one bloody beta tests anymore :/ hence why games are so buggy now :(

So its modeling problems eh? So many people i speek to end up closeing there mod due to no modelers/coders (me being one of em lol). Hope you can find someone bud. Hell if you managed to pull it off you could make the last mission for nod "assault E.V.A". or vice versa, make a better version of firestorms last mission and gank cabal. Either way if i find someone who can model for cnc 3 ill give you guys a buzz.

been meaning to ask, is there ANYWAY you could perhapes make a map look likes its inside a building? back when i used to play red alert (i feel old), westwood would put in a few inside building maps here and there, I thought maybe if you could pull it off, this would be good for mostly nod infiltration missions and stealth, you know go in steal this document or blow this powerplant up that sorta thing. I do miss "on foot" missions.

Good in theory but id add maybe some english/yank mercs to make it look asif the rest of the world is interested in the zone. Maybe a science team or 2, cloak and dagger of corse not asif russian would let them just walk in, and would be funny to walk into a quest with a yank or somin "do you speak'a any english!?"

Well, I happen to agree you are half right with the "fans", but here is why.

Games companies nowadays, are not thinking of the entertainment value, they havn't been thinking that since early 00's. They are thinking about money at the end of the day now, it isnt the fans that cause that to happen, its companies unwilling to takes risks and instead work to formulaes that work. See it from this perspective, here in england we had a game called, Dizzy. Dizzy was a little egg with boxing gloves, a fun little platformer. No one knew or cared if it would do well, they just made it, and it did do well here. When companies stoped thinking "how can we entertain" and instead went "how can we make money" was the same minute the fans were listened to, which shouldn't happen. in order for anything to evolve, new things must happen. That won't happen all the while companies think with there wallets and get us to tell them what we want. We have no idea, and should be ignored. Another example. Sawyer, the best mapper i have ever seen in gameing history, went to make a game with a couple of others in valve, and it was looking good, and stoped due to people thinking "its not what there used to, they wont like it" and therefore scraped. thinking with there wallets and thinking about what we want again :/.

At the end of the day, fans are only half the problem, and if people want it to change that then society must be changed to be less money grabbing and company oriantated, especialy as once upon a time 4 man teams could make damn good games that lasted months (cannon fodder!).

lol like that idea :) nice one man. But the floor was going to be used just before the last boss. Additions were to be made such as metal unfolding out the side of the walls to form railings and such with a bridge. Statue might be good to, but no modeler...so it would have to look like a VERY conceptual art peise (A.K.A HAMMER BRUSH! i love hammer brushes ^^).

ohhhhhh the amount of ideas you have just stated that we had come up with....we had even gone as far as to sit down and think of a GOOD hacking game to make a game within the game for hackers. I have played dystopia, really like it but its cyberpunk style was not what i favoured (dystopia goes for a more shiney polished look on its technology, we wanted to go very grimey and darker). Keep the good ideas comming in! the mod maybe stoped for now but im still writing the story and creating maps....

So help me if there isnt tiberium on the tiber river by 2012 or this mod, then we are is gonna' have a slight dispute on our hands, lol.

1st: nice one stalker some nice points, I damn well HATE the karma system on this site, its not needed, all it does is give people another way to either stroke the ego of those that REALLY shouldn't have it stroked, or the ability to make someone feel bad....now although ezeht REALLY did go nuts with some of those posts, i also read every single one because some ofit was rather interesting. He's young, and obviously wanting to learn and get to know the team (even if he is doing it the wrong way) shouldn't lay into him for asking questions.

I really do miss the days small little companies didn't give a flying F%£^ about profit and totals...we live in a world where there will always be people likeing something, ANYTHING. Even if that something is a nuke powered mohawked penguin from mars that shoots flower powered tanks...people WILL buy it, even more so if the souless evil marketing department super-hype it (btw if I see "Mr. Flibble's Nuclear Powered Adventures" without cudos, then im coming after you).

well.....id say its a psychological sci-fi horror....best way to describe it :/. The whole premise is built around the noosphere theory...therefore the zone is basicaly created from that combined conciousness' nightmares as a form of defence...so i'd DEFINALY say psychological sci-fi...with horror elements (its a sci-fi silent hill and both games have done well at scarying the hell out of me...well, silent hill 1 and 2, no others).
