please for the love of god make the tentacles more spider like. wigggly tentacles just make it look like something out of an anime. I'm a texture designer myself and if I can offer a few suggestions, it really does look like a cloud texture overlay on a solid color. What I would do is put a grunge texture over the diffuse and change the blending mode to "multiply" then decrease the opacity. This will give the texture a more grainy and more realistic look. And don't apply dents or gouges, it makes the gun look like it was thrown through a garbage disposal. Apply a very few small nicks here and there for a bit more realism, and apply a few specks of dirt or maybe a few light stains. Don't go overboard with it though, as it looks fake and cheap then. Just do what you think is right and it will look right.

I know that feel. The only answer I can give you is find a cheaper alternative, or use a torrent. I ran into the same problem, except I wasn't able to find a torrent for those specific sounds, but I didn't want to drop 700 bucks to buy them. I waited and did some research, ended up finding East West Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra and Stormdrum. I've been using both of them for about 3 years. I love them. Granted, I didn't actually pay for them. (magic of torrents my friend.) So find a torrent for it, or find an alternative. (then find a torrent for that.)
A TON of people use zoid's anims. I can't stand them. As an animator, I die a little inside every time I see a mod use them. So thank you so much for not using zoid's anims. And yeah the idle looks a bit like zoid's.
I don't think asphalt is shiny unless it's wet. I'm pretty sure that asphalt that's why asphalt is also black, to remove reflections and glare.
