Hugely excited for this! Definitely willing to pay full AAA game price if it's of quality.
It looks great and all, but with what BRV said, it really just doesn't fit STALKER. I think the best thing to do for more powerful monsters would be to simply make some of the existing monsters quite difficult to handle, excluding the "fodder" muties (fleshes, boars, dogs, rats, zombies, etc)
But that's just me. Regardless, I'm happy to see some kind of continuation of the STALKER series. Keep up the good work!
Volksgrenadiers also seem unusually effective against allied infantry.
Because the Ausf D has an even shittier short barreled 75mm gun that isn't even designed to shoot at other tanks. The sherman has 51mm of sloped armor, and I believe the cromwell has 76mm of vertical armor (could very well be wrong), meaning that the Ausf D's crappy little 75mm that can only penetrate 43mm of armor without specialized AT rounds shouldn't penetrate a cromwell or sherman with every single shot from the front. If the Ausf D was this effective historically, Germany wouldn't have stopped producing the Ausf D specifically due to its ineffectiveness against enemy tanks.
It would be nice if the Panzer IV Ausf. D couldn't deal with allied armor so ridiculously effectively. The stupid thing has a short barreled 75mm gun designed for shooting HE rounds, yet it can go toe to toe with a Cromwell or Sherman without batting an eyelash.
The captureable/buildable turrets in space maps should be ground AA emplacements on these atmospheric maps.
These screens are getting me excited.
I've noticed after playing two games as US that it is almost impossible to counter the instant armor in the Chinese get access to. TOW emplacements get shot to crap in no time, and any attempt to support the position with infantry is even more futile vs the 4 IFVs and APCs I have thrown at me at any one time as they simply run around to a position the TOW can't shoot at. The AT4 upgrade sucks even more because it costs so much to shoot just one when there are so many targets. Maybe I'm just doing something wrong, but what I experienced was horrible imbalance.
See now I get the completely opposite problem. I can't even get to soviet medium tanks in a match with normal AI on my side and two normal Wehrmacht AI on the other.
They always end up with a dozen panzer IVs and Stugs when all I can manage to muster is a few infantry squads and light tanks. I don't see a reason for having to research heavy and light tank support in the tank factory thing. It's like double the resources it takes for Americans to get tanks.
That and the flamethrower that the Wehrmacht can get so easily is so ridiculously overpowered that a single 2 man engie squad can annihilate two strelky squads.
I love this mod but I hate it at the same time. I can't stand the size of the galactic conquest maps because it's impossible for me to outdo AI in micromanaging and anticipating attacks on such a scale.

I love this. I can just imagine the level of paranoia added while just simply traveling from point A to B. Mutants just don't scare me anymore :(
