Riiiight... So people will get bored. And... That's their problem, why?
Patience is a virtue buddy, and you certainly ain't got any of that virtue.
From what I can tell, yes... ish. They've addressed this issue already, the frequency of the patches and/or particular updates to CTA have rendered some of WC's assets to be void. In other words, they need to do more work before a demo can/should be released.

The enhancements EAWRe makes to the base game are exactly what I love from mods like these. Though, it's a shame that for both my Steam and GOG versions, I can't enjoy the mod for longer than a certain duration where the game will just crash (tested for both GC and skirmish).
The 'An exception has occurred' error seems to plague both my GOG and Steam versions, though the GOG version just plainly CTDs whereas the Steam version actually displays the error when the game crashes.
I'm not entirely sure if this is a ram issue, seeing as I have correctly applied both patch types (for GOG and Steam respectively).
I'm really not sure how to solve this issue.
Apparently, this issue is not specific to this mod - though some claim that the Gold Pack fixed it: Steamcommunity.com
Others, on the other hand, never found a solution: Steamcommunity.com
I'm encountering the same issue, both on GOG and Steam - though the GOG version seemingly crashes with no error message provided, whereas Steam proves the "exception has occurred" error.
I'm baffled, not knowing whether this is an error of the mod or a lack of ram allocation? Roughly every 15 minutes into a GC, my game is guaranteed to crash; if running the Steam version, the exception error will pop up.
So far, my experience hasn't changed. I am not entirely sure if the problem is related to the save game issue, I don't believe it is, but several minutes (roughly 15) in, I encounter an error which is as follows:
An exception has occured. See _logfile.txt and _except.txt for details."
I only seem to encounter this issue when playing GC. Apologies if this is a separate issue, though it seems to plague both Steam and GOG versions.
Aye. The classic case of that one old game that is mint quality but has barely anyone willing to mod it.
I. Love. It.
