Typo @ line 21: music\da_music_dayamb02 -> music\da_music_day\amb02 in the ltx file.
May want to also post a separate fixed .ltx file so people don't have to redownload all 500+MB just for a 7KB file.

Schuchart yep, that is exactly what I did in that patch.

sardoz as Schuhart mentioned, the thunderbolt_* variables in SCO are the only relevant changes compared to Michiko.

tree_amplitude = for whatever reason, the actual swaying of the trees isn't given by the wind velocity instead it's this var

rain_density = as the name implies, how dense rainfall is

As for the relation of wind sounds to wind speed, unless someone had an anemometer when they recorded the wind sounds, everything is just best guess so don't be too worried about things not matching up with what you see on the screen.

For SCO, those are indeed old things from past versions - I checked on some SCO2 backups I had.

Zephyr52 If you installed manually then it could be you have other visual mods that are conflicting.

The Better Shaders and Color Grading mod could interfere here if you have that.

If not, then try resetting your User.ltx file by starting the launcher and selecting the "Restore default user.ltx" option.

Thanks, will do that.

I was already on latest SCO3.

It's just all very weird as I can't reproduce any of this... it just happens when it feels like it.

Yes, I am.

Sorry, lost that log and haven't seen this happen since.

Just got a CTD now when trying to drink from a flask:

I don't have this problem - can you post a screenshot?
There might be a mod conflict as well, are you installing manually?

I did a quick merge with SCO3: Dropbox.com

Haven't tested it yet but should be fine.

EDIT: tested it in stormy weather - all works well.

Captain828 - - 93 comments @ Sorting Plus (Anomaly 1.5.1/1.5.2)

Getting excessive spam in the logs with

Print table
{
i_drink = 7,
w_explosive = 1,
i_mutant_belt = 10,
...
i_quest = 8,
o_helmet = 2,
},

like tens of thousands of times which leads to CTD.

I've tracked this down to zzz_sortingplus_mcm.script:132 - printf("Print table")

Example log file here:
Dropbox.com

Sorting plus AMCM settings are the default ones.
Using the latest AMCM from Feb 16.

I will try to reproduce but seems to happen randomly on game/level load.

Captain828 - - 93 comments @ Food, drug and drinks animations v0.8.4a [1.5.1]

Got an animation hang, unfortunately, there is nothing in the actual log file but there is in the console:
started anim anm_harv_wpn_knife3_hud
control returned
<save happened here; successful>
catched item_before_use bandage
started use_item

and after that I can't open UI or take any further actions.
This is with 0.8.4a, loaded via Mod Organizer 2 with no conflicts.

I'll try to reproduce.

I think it's the same issue as with the detectors/geiger counter.
Really like what this is trying to do but I would wait on a fix first.

You can try disabling each effect in ReShade one by one until you find the main culprit.
I suspect it's RadiantGI in this case.

How many FPS are you getting with and without the preset on? what about with RadiantGI turned off?

Interesting.
Had no clue that could be changed.

Sadly, I'm starting to really like the MXAO shader as it has a lot of cool features and is fairly lightweight on performance.

If you haven't already, you should try the separate MXAO preset I now include with this.
It works really well with RadiantGI.

Would be cool if all the variants could just be options in AMCM.
Is that something doable?

As I wrote above, if you have a much slower GPU than a GTX980 then the drop will likely be higher.

I'll update the description to make this more clear.

Are you using the MXAO preset or the standard one?

Captain828
Captain828 - - 93 comments @ Radiant Anomaly ReShade

Haven't tested it on DX9 but it should work in theory.
Might be that some of the effects won't look as good.

If you're running Anomaly on DX9 then I would presume you have an older GPU?
If so, then keep in mind that if it's lower than my (at this point ancient) GTX980 then you will likely get a bigger performance hit than what I wrote.

I'll ask on their Discord but from my testing none of the SSAO options do anything and I do recall them working in previous versions.

EDIT: yeah, they're very minor effects that you can only really tell work if you do a side by side comparison.

Yep, fully agree - it's an excellent alternative to RTGI imho.
Did you upload it somewhere?

Also, after finding out that the in-game settings for AO do nothing I'll add another variant later that includes some ambient occlusion.

Captain828 - - 93 comments @ Radiant Anomaly ReShade

Changelog:
1.4
- removed the separate MXAO preset; MXAO is now included in the main one which you can disable manually
- added dedicated preset for Michiko's Weather Revamp 3.0 addon (preserves overall tone)
- optimized deband effect
- tweaked SmartSharp to prevent over-sharpening on high-res textures
1.3
- tweaked deband effect to better deal with Great Swamp skybox banding: Cdn.knightlab.com
- this does blur the skybox a bit causing a loss in fine cloud detail but I will keep experimenting on this one
1.2
- tweaked NFAA to have less effect on text, so text should be less fuzzy now
- tweaked MXAO to better assist RadiantGI with indirect lighting, so expect less dark occlusion and more indirect lighting in well-lit areas
1.1
- added a LUT (color grading) to improve image quality and to better retain the vanilla color tone
- added a separate MXAO preset for ambient occlusion
1.0.1
- fixed folder structure
1.0
- initial release

Great mod!

Couple of things I noticed though:

1. why did you add zones folder and configs in 0.95b? doesn't seem to change anything and you don't mention it in the changelog; this actually creates a soft conflict with teleport-anomalies mod

2. a large number of RAR archives just sitting around

Just to clarify, this is for the Dynamic Mutants addon, NOT the Dynamic Nocturnal Mutants one (no clue what the diff is tbh). It may or may not have the same issue.

See above for a fix.

Yeah, those constant chirping sounds are really messing with the general atmosphere.

I'll have a look about removing them.

EDIT: found them - they're in the "backgrounds.ltx" file located in "configs\environment\ambient_channels".

Looks at the sounds config line for each background setting and change it as needed - these correspond to the sounds in the "sounds" folder of the mod.

Example:
For Cordon morning time, change [background_forest_morning]/sounds to something like "ambient\soundscape\background\Forest_1", which doesn't have the chirping.

You can look at the configs for each map under "configs\environment\ambients" to see which background is used where.

Further changes can be made to the actual environment presets in "configs\environment\ambients\presets".

Weird, not getting that, instead I'm getting:

[error]Expression : <no expression>
[error]Function : CInifile::r_section
[error]File : Xr_ini.cpp
[error]Line : 544
[error]Description : fatal error
[error]Arguments : Can't open section 'mwolf'. Please attach [*.ini_log] file to your bug report

Tried only keeping Part 1 and I'm still getting the error on save load (1.5.1).

EDIT: found it to be a conflict with the Dynamic Mutants mod on the "pseudodog.ltx" file, namely the [mwolf]:pseudodog_normal section, which is added by Dynamic Mutants.

IamKrev are you sure you don't have some mod conflict? maybe some weather mod

Really like the look of the anomaly effects.
The bonfire effect - not a huge fan. Much prefer the vanilla Anomaly one as it just fits better with the atmosphere.
