Commerce Guild Light Cruiser - "Overseer-class"
The US AI can definitely struggle, I've noticed. They're fine in player hands, but the USA AI will often lose against similarly leveled AIs of opposing factions.
Just wanted to drop in and say that despite following development for about a decade, I hadn't played in years. With the release of the Steam version of Zero Hour, I finally got to dive in again. The updates on this are staggering to me. It looks better and plays better by a mile than when I last tried it out. It's probably one of my favorite mods for Generals and a massive achievement for a modding group.
Cheers and can't wait to take the EDA out for a spin eventually.
We already have a great working relationship and are going to attempt a Compatibility patch down the road. Stay tuned!
Holy ****, man. You're an absolute magician with this engine
It's a labor of love. Thanks for playing!
Thanks! Glad you're liking the submod so far.
It depends- some ships are added to multiple factions when they make sense in the lore (like the Victory-II, for example), but some higher end ships are faction exclusive (Servator, Valiant, Allocator). I may choose to implement of these as mission rewards later down the line, but what form that takes isn't clear at the moment.
Anyways, definitely not the place for this, OP.
You could post on the mod's wall, but otherwise I would just ask around on generic CnC Generals discords for LFG.
I don't think they have post approval on, so anyone can make an article.
I would have lost my mind for this in the early 2000s.
Very unexpected and very interesting project. I may redownload the game to give this a try.
Yup! I need to do a few days of testing, but then I'll getting this patch out the door.
Glad to hear it. I'm fortunate to be able to utilize the absolutely gorgeous new model from Sgt Barlex in this submod.
The Valiant isn't the star of the show at the moment- it's the Command Servator behind it. I'm in the process of writing up an entry for the Valiant. That'll indeed be it's own separate standard unit.
Yeah, Barlex did a great job on it.
As for it appearing brown, that may be due to the lighting. Looks fine in the sun / in the texture.
Both more and less difficult than just making a total conversion of your own. The upside is that all the art assets are ready to go, the downside is that you had to integrate all the coding to use the power scaling / mechanics of whatever mod you want to choose as a base.
Is this for 3.5? Or 4.0?
The team has fully shifted to development for 5.0, so there's no focus towards dedicated 4.0 support.
Regarding the crash, the trouble is that's very inconsistent and seems to be semi-related to whatever hardware the user utilizes. Some people find it very stable, others find it totally unplayable. There's no 'smoking gun' cause for this.
The rationale here is that it would essentially serve in a 'ceremonial role' once the Jedi temple on Coruscant was re-established, while still being combat capable.
Did you read the description in the image? He was found on Raxus. In the future, I may limit his recruiting to there, but for now he's recruitable anywhere.
Potentially- typically, my focuses are on adding new materials to Remake, but I'll upgrade existing things every once in a while. This one just needed a bit of a face lift since it was quite a few years old.
You unfortunately can't. The Steam version of Empire at War received updates that greatly expanded the modding potential of the game, so the vast majority of modern mods are Steam-only.
You've successfully married the two distinct art eras/styles together in this.
Damn fine work and I love to see what this mod has become.
Glad to hear we have similar tastes. I'm trying to include a wide swath of ships while still being limited enough that each one has a very distinct role.
Hey just wanted to drop by and say this is a fantastic project. I can't imagine playing modern Age of Mythology any other way. Really professional work and it's clear that there's a lot of love poured into this.
Fantastic. Really reminds me of the Halo 2 era soundtrack.
I like the direction you're taking it in.
Thanks Kharak! Beautiful work on the art assets as always, man.
You're an absolute machine, Alexei.
The speed that this faction is being cranked out is a little absurd. Nice work.
"Again"? I'm still actively working on this mod every day.
