Yes, but the developer chose to explain the reason for the delay. My point is that it is unnecessary and insensitive to put him down by saying things like, "I'm embarrassed for you", or "You don't need to share the details of your sad life to excuse the delay". I'm perfectly fine to wait for however long it takes, I'm just trying to explain why the developer might choose to share the details of what happened versus being more vague.

Maybe so, but think about this: This is a highly anticipated project that has been delayed. It would, at least from my perspective, be better to explain specifically what it is that caused the delay. People are more likely to be understanding and less likely to rage if the developer is honest and explains the difficulties he and his team are going through with their personal lives, than if he were to simply say, "Oh I'm busy with some other things". And, if you look at the comments on the that particular "article", most of them seem to be expressing sympathy for what the developer is going through, rather than slugging him for neglecting his project.

That is in my opinion a very insensitive comment. Either that or you have a very odd way of expressing sympathy.

Thank you for such a quick response! However, I'd installed the patch before starting my current game. I'm open to restarting from the drawing board though if that's what it takes to get this working properly. Thanks again for helping me.

Man I'm bummed. This is such a cool mod but even with the patch I still crash upon trying to enter Lab X-16... Tried installing the patch twice.

Maybe a little late, but I had the same problem and fixed it by downloading the latest Warcraft 3 TFT patch. It is applied automatically when the game is downloaded from Blizzard and if you have the CD version there's a button at the main menu called Battle.Net or something like that.
