I'm more than willing to accept that this could be a terrible bismuth of a problem that I was just unlucky enough to encounter twice, I just wanted to cover all my bases before a third play through.

Thank you for responding. Just so that there's no question we're on the same page, this is my error:

By consistent I meant that this is in fact my second run through the mod (on two separate clean installs of the game, and of the mod) and at the same exact point in the story progression, this happens. (Just get the Brain Scorcher mission from barkeep, about to travel from Rostok to Army Warehouse, "Would you like to travel to next level?", [YES], load screen for a minute, game crashes, all saves corrupt).

I've never heard of a save harder than "going into the main menu and pressing save", though I have considered copying the save files to another location after making a save that proves stable..? Wouldn't matter anyhow in this case since the very act of traveling to Army Warehouse at this point in the game would just corrupt them all again, and besides this I've had no problems which would make that necessary! That makes this crash a very sad panda. (Note that I did successfully travel to AW before this mission without problems as well).

I have a consistently timed fatal error at a very inconvenient stage of the game that causes total save corruption. I'm curious where or to whom it would be appropriate to share more information regarding this issue and (hopefully) get some help. From all my reading through the comments and the FAQ'n known issues page, it looks fairly unique to me.

By the way, this is easily in my top three favorite mods of all time for any game. Absolutely exceptional.
