after a long time living on the battlefield of life , i finally have time to enjoy this game again . even though it is not the latest game out , I think it is a great way to learn about making games and creating or recreating stories .
Of course I was so much in a rush after viewing the youtube video that i forgot to check everywhere. I found my solution in the "how to install a mod thread by CaptainShack" It was in the comments. Here'e the one that worked for me after I deleted the first mistake.
I'm guessing that the mod path is incorrect. If your Sins is up to date with your version then the default path for this mod might be slightly different than your in game settings path.
Ie, mine said "C:\Users\yourname\Documents\my games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.82" in game yet the path it wanted to install too was "C:\Users\yourname\Documents\my games\Ironclad Games\Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion\Mods-Rebellion v1.80" the last part "v1.80" is different, I changed it to my game path "v1.82" and all was Trekie ;-)

I downloaded the mod and installed it. my Sins is 1.82 so I copied it from the installers 1.80 folder into the Sins 1.82 mod folder. Freezes at Armada 3 "standby" screen. Does anyone know how to make it work? I'm new to modding sins.

Instead of these two similar abilites, how about "NANO-psionic Retribution - If attacked by nanites, modified psionic cyborg specialists take control of invading destructive nanites and use them against the enemy, effectively destroying or heavily damaging smaller vessels nearby"
Something to that effect.
They should be able to redirct enough nanites to stop further damage to the ship and, depending on the distance of any enemy vessels, send them to destroy those vessels. Maybe use a ring type selector to determine radius of power.

even though starfleet existed before the federation, it is now part of the federation, and since the federation is a council, perhaps you should use the UFP symbol as the "mon mothma" for the feds. that way, where ever they are convening, unit and buildings are cheaper.
Dude, we are star trek fans, we have patience. Take your time, don't worry, I'm sure plenty of us will wait for it, or help.

I think you can download a program(File Front or somewhere I remember seeing)to rip footage from the game, and create movies. You should be able to cut it up and paste it together, then convert to a bik file, with another utility and you should have a opening video. Then create overlay in textures and code XML accordingly. I will investigate. I don't know I have never done it before, my modding has only been private changes of my own desire.

Wow. Thanks to all of you that are letting it be known that we want to see this mod.
I have already tasted Trek Wars Interpretation and I am hooked, 0.9 kept crashing. After installing this and buggy PR, I started looking at coding and text and even alo viewer, to understand hardpoints and different functions.
Models are harder and expensive(no 3ds), so hats off to you guys for this project. Watching those ships come around and phaser the enemy was worth the teasers.
I actually added my own Sisko icon and SFX to Defiant, plus Kirk icon and SFX to Enterprise 1701-A Constitution Refit, Kahless to Bird of prey for fun, and made a few more heroes, Data, Riker, Crusher(med Neb) still looking for SFX for those guys.
Please stay strong. Keep on going, cause we are out here. I aint skilled enough yet to fully mod, but it is fun getting better at it. This mod made me excited enough to learn.
