Hi Bloodshot

I downloaded the Quake 1.5 mod two nights ago, and I am impressed with it so far but there is one thing that I'm having trouble with. The game has been stuck in CTF (capture the flag) mode in the single player campaign and I have no idea how to get rid of it.

I am using the recommended build of Darkplaces that came with the mod install, I even tried to use the hotfix and patch 2 but it affects the level layout blocking paths that were originally open, for example e1m2 has issues of paths unaccesible due to it being on CTF mode when you start a level it has a red flag and at the end of a level the blue flag...if you accidently touch the flag it overrides say the keys you need to get in a level to progress. its quite frustrating that I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it, cause on youtube vids I see there Quake 1.5 is running normally....even e2m1 does not play out properly...like the scripted events of getting the silver keycard..all empty nothing happens no keycard etc

I just wanted to post a review for Quake1.5 Beta.

Installing this Mod is frustrating because I had to spend several hours and search several random blog pages before someone told me that I have to download SQL and create my own directory. Installing BrutalDoom was easier than this. Alot of player attrition get lost simply at the installation point.

There are bugs with the solomotion. Bugs with the sounds. It would be great to RTX this game with raytracing

There game would benefit from:
1. crouch/prone ability
2. sneak ability to allow better cover firing and general movment.
5. the ogres fire grenades too much and rarely use their chainsaws. ogres could have a maximum of 15 grenades or it takes longer for them to aim and fire.
6. All flying creatures should have AI tweaks and attack tweaks.
7. "steadyAIM" where the player can look down the barrel of some guns, but there is no Zoom, this only allows for better aiming, but players cannot move while doing this.
8. swords from knights and gladiators are now playable weapons.
9. AI tweaks
10. buff the Health packs so the player doesnt have to rely on quicksave
11. disable quick save so the player has to complete each level in one life./ pistol start friendly
12. a point highscore system to make there some competition in the community.

are you retarded you think he can just add ray tracing
and if it takes you 3 hours to figure out how to load a quake mod go back to brutal doom, you cant handle quake

Classic Quake raytracing would be amazing though... I can just imagine. Maybe some day. I still find it strange they chose Quake 2 over Quake.

Dude, where are you? I tried to contact you a week ago. Could you just reply to the message I sent you? I REALLY want those muzzleflashes, and I suck at QC stuff, just compile a PK3 with the progs I need and then you would be finished with your job. I see you have been online multiple times this week and it makes me lose my patience when I still see a 0 next to the envelope icon.
