Hello!
First I wanted to thank you for making this absolutely beautiful mod. This is one of my favorite games of all time.

I'm having a few problems though.
I started a new playthrough with version 1.1 and It works very well up to a certain point.
At E6M2 I get an error and crash to desktop. An MSDOS prompt window calling itself "python debug console" pops up and says something about "Outdated Foundation" and then a list of files that appear affected. I've tried doing a clean installation but I can't load that mission. It instantly crashes every time, which is a shame. Thats a really fun mission. I can send you a screenshot of the error window if you want.

Also, there seems to be an issue with the power system in game. Normally when you run out of Main Battery or Reserve Power the shields and weapons go offline. But in this mod nothing happens, so power consumption doesnt really mean anything in the mod.

Lastly, the Sovereigns torpedoes look like they need some work. The photons look like simple little orange Super Mario fireballs and not like the nice looking photons on the Galaxy class. And the quantums look too big.
Also, It seems like you have unlimited quantums, although I cant tell because there is no counter for them in the mod.
I like how you can fire both photons and quantums at the same time, but maybe they should be switchable or a counter added. According to the story you only have a small supply of quantums up until late in the campaign.
Also maybe the torpedoes should move just a wee bit slower

Any chance we could get Bruce to do a new Icon replacer?

I keep getting a dump to desktop about 20 minutes into a game. It seems to happen around when I summon Janeways ship. I cant read the dump file so I'm not sure what the cause is. Is anyone else having this problem?

I just tried that...
No dice.
Not only does the axis control not work but none of the bottons on the joystick work either.

This seems to be the only game I have this problem with

Hello how do you configure the correct axis in the bindings? Im using a Thrustmaster Airbus.

The joystick setup rcognizes it but in-game it does nothing

Hello!
I'm unable to use my joystick although it is detected in the joystick configurator screen.

Neither the stick nor the buttons do anything in mission, although it works fine with the original Xwing and Tie fighter steam versions.

I'm using a Thrustmaster Airbus edition.

Do you have any advice?
I really want to play this game

Good day!

Is there a mod that changes the energy cannon visual effect?
They really look ridiculous especially when coming from fighters. Like hundreds of photon torpedos filling the screen.
If not, can somebody point me in the right direction as to how to edit the weapons effects?

I love this game but it becomes so silly looking after the upgrade happens. Like a late season episode of Deep Space 9.
I'd rather they either look like the plasma bombs or just stay looking like bullets but pack the same punch as the energy cannon.

Where do I begin?

I have some questions about modding Homeworld: Cataclysm.
If anybody could help me edit it so the energy weapons don't look like hundreds of photon torpedoes filling the screen, maybe make them look like plasma bolts or like bullets still, that would be amazing.

I absolutely love Cataclysm but once you upgrade the guns to energy cannons, it looks so ridiculous. Like a late season episode of Deep Space 9.

Not that I dislike DS9, I just really dislike the energy weapons effect. They cut that one out of HW2 and for good reason...

Good evening!

I am not good at making mods. I have to admit I have wasted 4 nights after work trying to extract a .big file... I just am not good at these things.

I would like to commission a modder to make a mod for me.
I merely want the Kushan mothership to be able to move during single player campaign mode in Homeworld 1 Classic.
Nothing more.

I know it's part of the story and so forth, but spare me your speeches. I'm an old guy that played the original when it first released and I absolutely loved it when it came out.
But the bloody ship couldn't move.
Such a beautiful ship, could not even move.
It broke my heart, and I know I'm not the only one.

To me, that was like the Enterpise D not having an impulse drive. How ridiculous

Now, I paid a modder "spoonfrog", bless their heart, $30 to make this very same mod for the HW1 Remastered version and it works perfectly but he doesn't seem to know much about editing the classic version.
The mod he made is amazing.

However I would love to see one made for the Classic version.
I know the Remastered technically has better graphics, but there's something about the original that had a more... Anime feel? I don't know how to explain it but I just love the old graphics. Those were different times.

Anyways, If one of you jolly good modders out there could help me out and build this mod for me, and post it over at the Steam workshop (Not before I reward you of course) well then you get a nice $30 Paypal reward coming your way.
