got to say, I'm really impressed with your mapping in Goldsrc - from experience I know that it's not an easy task, but you're doing very well, and with tools that aren't always the greatest. the core is one of the few half-life 1 mods I'm genuinely interested in!

I would say to do this more often, but it seems like it'd be time consuming. It's neat to see that you guys' thinking isn't so different from mine when it comes to changes in maps, and that it's not an instantaneous-perfect-mapping kind of thing. good job!

i would say that the orange tip (barrel) looks too low-poly - the HD pack's Gauss looked more round! other than that, excellent.

you should've made sure the textures were aligned on the weapons too, see the black lines behind the charging handle of the M4 and the grip? those aren't good.

either the sleeve is at a weird angle or you didn't rig it to L_Arm_Bone. Either way it looks a bit off. fix that and you've got a solid
