I've had the same issue but with a zombie; I filed my bug report + a save file in the forums.

I was wondering why it was so hard to find gloves! 1/10 games I might find one.

Very enjoyable game, my only complaint is the level cap of 30. Endless mode is great but I enjoyed playing to level at that point. when i hit level 30 i couldn't level anymore and lost the impulse to continue playing; that sense of accomplishment was gone. would be nice if that level cap was either raised or taken away completely.

the game has (as of 1.0.6):

*Two available class trees, Ranger and Warrior (Mage is being worked on)
*Potions that restore mana/health of varying strengths and other effects
*Foods that restore hp over time
*Potion crafting
*Weapon/armour crafting
*Randomized items with (as far as i've seen) qualities ranging from white to orange, orange being artifact tier I believe. Nothing needs to be identifed in this version of the game, future updates might change that.
*huge expansive levels

It's still in early alpha, so things are changing all the time. If a feature that you want isn't in yet, it might be in the future and you can always bring it up with the Dev on the forums. I play a lot of Rogues as well and Claustrophobia feels like a Rogue just being born. It's certainly got the unforgiving aspect to it, where you pay for your messups if you can't think your way out of your mess. I say if you enjoy Rogues, give this one a try.

A nice Roguelike that's quirky and pretty playable in it's early alpha stages. The final product is going to be well worth the price for alpha. I've never even seen a staircase down (the maps are just.. enormous and I am always careless at some point, thus never completeing one :P)

I say buy the game; the developer is quick to player concerns implimenting/bug-fixing/optimizing and if you like the roguelike genre, I don't think you'll be disappointed to where this one is going.

I'm having the same issue as stinkytaco (lol), I can't download through Desura, as it's complaining that there are no mirrors available that contain the game on it.

Waz, the recent changes have been stellar! I'm really enjoying the game now that certain items auto-pickup, and pets are smarter. I was wondering however, if we can customize what gets picked up automatically? that would really be helpful for certain classes, like scrolls and books for mage/sorceror.

Pretty nice "easy to understand/easy to die" roguelike. the physics give a nice touch to things, My only complaint at this point is the music as I find it rather repetative and dull (i like the shopkeeper tune though). I understand the game is a beta, so I'm certain the music will be upgraded and if not well.. i'll just have to turn it off and play my own :P

Fun game Waz, thanks!

You could always use JoytoKey to get the gamepad working. Www-en.jtksoft.net I use this when there isn't official gamepad support :)

The problem with lag seems to have been fixed by the Developer. I now have nothing negative to say about this game. Buy it.

Excellent game that you can dive right into. Unlike traditional Roguelikes, which can take weeks to get to the end, this game is quick and fun (also the only game so far that makes me enjoy playing a Thief). My only issue is that once the map of a room gets more filled out, the game starts getting slowdown. I wonder if there is a way to change the game quality (i noticed the game contents are in a .swf) and if there isn't, then there should be for those of us with lower end computers.
