Unfortunately I could not find any packages with such name or containing such lib file inside for opensuse. I think that if the problem is this missing lib, it should be included with desura game package as they do for other games.

And by the way, what translations does it include? Is there a chance to see Russian translation here on desura?

Linux 64 bit, the game silently does not start - dmesg shows after each launch trial:

I also have this problem here - DoConfigure is broken for jopad configuration in the way you have described - each time it is restarted, the config buttons numbers go one level up in the table.

The joypad contoller does work in the game though - the problem comes when you want to reassign the buttons - once DoConfigure is used once, this would be broken.

really, I just can't split the fleet into 2 parts - 9 of 10 times it just goes here and there and 1 time it really splits. I just have to go here and there with one big army until other parts are produces on other planets. Anyone knows the secret I'm not catching?

Please disregard this 2nd issue - I can see now that I have finished 3 missions including the tutorial, so the demo is over.

Also some other bugs in the demo:

- In the tutorial mission - exit when the station did appear and my ships started to capture it - returned to the game - the station was not on its place and nothing happened for a long time - had to restart the mission.

Hope the will put linux version on desura too.

This game is really great! Tried the demo and going to by the full version. But it has really annoying problems with "one-click" mouse control. Sometimes I want to move the fleet which is on the planet or under the libra and receive instant "ship production" menu instead, it is really hard to devide flee into 2 parts - it draws the waypoint instead most of the time etc.

There should be some modifiers like "ctrl+mouse" - show ship production menu, "shift+mouse" - draw libra waypoint, "alt+mouse" - divide fleet into parts etc. to save from situations when smart action gesturing fails to work and action gestures theirselves should be also improved.

I am running linux 64 bit.

By the way, is the "get a free copy for a friend" available from site also valid for desura purchases?

Also, by some reason Archron now does not show up on my desura.com site main page on linux 64 bit system with "linux 64" filter enabled (after disabling the filter the game shows up with other windows games) and also in desura linux beta client.

still can't buy it with paypal from Russia, at least before desura linux native client is available (can't wait for it). may be you would try to consider bitcoins?

where can I get the linux version?

For the opensource games - most of the most popular of them I think are already added as standard packages to mainstreeam distrubutions.

As I know, FreeCiv, Battle for Westnoth and AstroMenace are rather popular, also liked the screens of this one: Flightgear.org

But as for me - I would surely prefer to see some new interesting titles probably released at the same time with desura native client rather than the ones available for ages.

Also, as I have already said, there are some old native games with declired linux port and having attractive videos\screenshots which I was not able to run on my modern system or even could not find where to get the binary - many of them are listed at the middle/bottom of this list Penguspy.com (for example, I can't run darwinia due to some gcc version error message) - I would also love to see their fresh recompiled versions running without problems from desura.

Also if you will be able to bring native HOMM3 to linux desura, this would be epic.

Also some of them are rather outdated and may not run on modern linux distrubutions - would be really good if desura would be a reason to bring them back to life.

Just to let you know - I have installed burster plugin rpm package from their site and can't see anything changed in my firefox (rebooted/restarted since then), when I go to Deadcyborg.com , I see "Click here to download plugin" message, click on it, but popup dialog shows "no suitable plugins were found". So this seems to be a challenge to install Burster plugin itself - this guys should put it at least to firefox plugin store, put it to opensuse repository, Ubuntu Software Center etc (currently they don't even have deb packages - only rpm) and make sure it works to make it more popular. I know this is not your problem, but the problem of geta3d developers, but you might want to know that for now this might stop some users from launching your game, though browser plugin should simplify this. So still waiting for native linux version, so I could play without additional installations.
