Nice!, so what is the fix that makes the larger units like spiders and ents no longer crash in Third Age mods?
Looks amazing! Can't wait for a release!
No worries, take your time!
Is it possible for this to be updated to the latest version? Have tried fiddling myself but if I have the helmets enabled I can't choose what body armor I have.
Oh damn, nice to see BW is still being worked on! Looking forward to the full release alongside the archive weapons, will be so many toys to play with!
The chainsaw maze map?
*childhood nightmares intensify*
Really love this, it looks much better and more inline with the other weapons of the game. The only thing missing is a voxel for it.
Amazing work! Never ceases to amaze me what people can still do with good ol' Doom.
It seems trying to by items from the shops doesn't quite work. Trying to buy the machine gun from the rebel seller you get the key for gives you the vanilla weapon, and buying the enviro suit from the vendor in town doesn't actually give you the suit. Am I meant to avoid these guys, and buy the stuff from elsewhere?
EDIT: Ah, just realised there is a trader at the base that uses the new interface. I guess we just use him and avoid the other shops?
Z, X and C are my goto item keys in any game. I find it quite comfy and quick to access.
Ah, just figured it out: next and previous item keys changes the slot.
Those weapon animations/sounds etc are dope, cant wait to get that triple barreled shotgun in the game proper!
This is super awesome, looking forward to doing a full playthrough of strife with it soon!
Quick question though - how do I bind weapons/items etc to a certain quickslot? From my brief messing around weapons with cheats they only seem to hotkey to slot 1.
Finally been able to finish this, and yeah, proper cracking mapset! The final couple of levels were suitably epic! Only bugs I had were some slowdown in places on a couple of the maps (using GDX), and also the last tome you pick up in the penultimate level didn't seem to have any text, but that's pretty minor.
Just wondering, is anyone else getting random framerate dips in certain areas of maps? Im using the latest BloodGDX, and every now and then a specific spot on some levels causes a very noticeable framerate dip, someones becoming a bit unplayable. It is just related to these ears.
Most recently, on Bogey Beach, when I get to the beachfront itself looking down the walkway causes huge lag, as does looking towards the arcade from spots around the exit ship.
This is shaping up to be a pretty awesome mod! If you ever get chance, a standalone enemy pack would be pretty sweet.
I have blasted through most of the levels (now on E3M4), and just wanted to see these levels truly are as fantastic as everybody says. Top notch level design that surpasses the original Blood in my opinion. With the music mod as well, it's the Blood 2 we never got!
I certainly know what I'm doing this weekend!
Ah, I’ll have to check that mod out too! Love the new designs!
Looks amazing! Can’t wait for the new release with all this new art!
Out of curiosity, did sebabdukeboss20 do art for Ion Maiden?
Yes, I moved the Hyrule within the Hyrule folder, so clicking it brings up the mod files, like others I have installed.
If you could upload your preference file that would be great! I can check to see if it works, and if it does see what is different compared to mine. Maybe upload it here to ModdDB?
Congrats on release! However, I am having an issue: It crashes after loading for a few seconds. I get to the H:TW splash screen, then after a few seconds it CTD's with no errors.
I have a CD version so I manually moved the folder into 'mods' after extracting.
EDIT: I should add I have a couple other Med2 mods that work, and I have been using the 4GB patcher for years. I downloaded the Google Drive link as it still won't download here on ModDB
Get hyped! Can't wait to play it.
This is looking really good! Can't wait to play it!
Hardly the end of the world, as the mod is effectively done gameplay wise. Just a few more bells and whistles missing from a full 1.0 release.
Looks awesome! Can't wait!
Expansion support is coming, this is a beta release for now.
Another minor thing (not sure if intentional or not) - in the mod's PK3 the config has the colour command, so no matter what you change to in game the player reverts to colour 48 on loading. I noticed this after turning off the SMC armour colour thing.
Halfway through episode 2 now. Absolutely stellar work! The new gore system is awesome, but the weapons and their sounds/animations definitely make it. They are a lot more satisfying to use than the old vanilla weapons. Love all the little touches too, like peppering an enemy with the supernailgun causing unique death anims, and body parts sticking to the walls.
I've dabbled with a couple custom levels like the Mapjam's and Aftershock and they are easy enough to load, and work well being vanilla maps!
I've noticed the water has a weird bug when looked at certain angles (especially noticeable when bobbing above it). Seems like it reflects the sky but definitely doesn't look right.
Is this related to the mod or Darkplaces specific?
Awesome work by the way, this morning is just what Quake needed to modernise it and make it even better to play!
