Ambient albeit old Alien vs. Predator mods. Custom made for the "movie ambience" niche. They're mostly on here for archive purposes, mostly.

Dude, why did you take down your sound mods?
Well, I took them down because I was about to release a big sound pack with all them (including unreleased sound mods), but AvsP stopped working. I got the game working again so I may finish the pack eventually.
Hi,
I'm a beginner AVP modder, and since you're into modding as well, I thought you could help me : I've been wondering : I extracted audio files from the game using FFLextract from the Mod Tools, I found a .wav file I want to put in the game to replace one of the weapon's noise (the minigun's, actually...)... But how can I put the sound into the FFL so as to replace the old one ? I tried to figure it out by myself using Game File Explorer and the AVP Bible, but didn't manage to.
[[EDIT : Forget this comment, I fixed my problem using Leadwork's FFL explorer, which is way better than Game File explorer, thanks for uploading it. ]]
FFL Explorer is a lot easier to use for replacing sounds and textures. Glad people are finding it useful (knew there was a reason I saved it all these years)!
It seems you figured out how to change the sound. In case anyone else is wondering - open the FFL you want to edit with FFL Explorer then drop your sound into the window. Copy the filename of the sound you want to replace, rename or delete it and rename your sound.
Sadly, I'm experiencing issues with the sound itself now ... [It's me, JJ from Steam Forums] ...
got them to work, should of thought of this before (it has been 14 years). I don't know how you tried to replace the old sounds but I was deleting/renaming them in FFL Explorer then dropping the new sounds. This deletes the sound entry itself so you get no sound in game. You have to overwrite them.
If you're replacing sounds or textures -
Rename the file you want to use to the target file then directly drop it into the FFL Explorer window. FFL Explorer will ask you if you want to replace it, hit ok and it should work.
DO NOT delete the target sound/texture then drop the new sound/texture in.
SOMETIMES it works to rename the target file then drop the new file/rename it to the target file.
I suggest that you directly replace the target file with a same named new file (this is what a PFP patch would do).
Thanks alot mate
