How did you program those songs? I mean, it isn't actually programmed is it? There is no microchip? Also, how long does the bot run on one 9V?

I was thinking about making the exact same thing for practice and fun, what a coincidence that I came across this video. I will probably screw things up though, I've been taught only the very very basics of electrical engineering.

yeah, I built it all from scratch, I have an atmega328 chip on the bottom. For the songs it's basically using PWM(pulse width modulation) and each note of a song corresponds to a specific frequency. So basically All i have to do is search the notes for song like the mario theme, then have an array of the notes(the corresponding frequencys) and just add a delay between them. Here is an example that shows it Arduino.cc As for battery life. I have 2 batteries, 1 to power the chip and 1 to power the DC motors. If i used only 1 battery it would die in like 10 minutes. it really doesn't last long.
