Sorry, i first saw this video now. Scoped models work different from non scoped models. You must imagine that scoped models are only a PNG file with alpha canal while non scoped models are "real" 3D models shrinked to fit in the players view cone. If you change the zooming in true you must make a new scope model. You can simply copy from FG42 for example and add your custom texture. You can also use a hex editor to modify the i3d file, its faster and easier than 3ds max.
