well bannerlord still hasn't leaved EA yet and it took mount and blade an expantion to become really good, maybe it will be the same case with bannerlord, i think its too early to tell anyhow, tutorials and tools to mod the game should come with time as people crack the game and get more familiar with it, im glad you gave it your best shot that's all we can really ask for, regardless i truly believe than in 10 years bannerlord should have at least a few decent total conversion mods, just like warband does

this particular version of the mod is completely broken for me, everytime i make a new character and load him, his stats reset to a random number between 10 and 0, tried several characters and the same thing happends everytime, needless to say this is gamebreaking and i cannot play like this, the new textures are also really laggy and most battlefields around europe have an absurd amount of trees wich render cavalary useless

i didn't had this issue on 1.8.2 btw

i've been progressing throught my current playthought and now i have fought several order partys, one thing i noticed was that i couldn't do much damage at all to these troops, by this i mean that order troops seem to be damage capped, meaning you can only do up to a maximum amount of damage each hit, for example, i couldn't do more than 81 damage to the Narvik mutants no matter what weapon i used, a hit from my railgun would cap at 81 damage, even headshots would do no more than 81 damage, and with my setup, this same railgun one shots technomages with a headshot, but not these troops because of said damage cap, what this mean is that these troops always die in the same amount of hits from any hard hitting stuff, this makes them incredible good units, im sure they are supposed to be the strongest units in the mod but i can't help but wonder if the damage cap is intended or not, so far no other unit type seems to work the same way, this is on the 10k scenario still if you are wondering

i also found a bug wich makes my companions prisioners for some reason, they still on my party as usual, but are also my prisioners aswell, it seems to happend when i get a ransom request for a lord and accept it, the lord goes but in my prisioner list its spot gets replaced by one of my companions, so far this doesn't seem to cause any further issues, but i haven't done anything like putting them on a garrison or something since i still have no kingdom or fief of my own, instead when i talk to them i get the usual lord dialog stuff, including the ability to persuade them to join my kingdom lol, if i do bribe them then i instantly have a kingdom apparently, but for now im just not touching them, but running around with clones of my companions as my prisioners feels really weird

speaking of tournaments, there are some very underpowered weapons compared to the rest, the one that looks like a needle and makes a horse sound as you shoot it basically does no damage (i had 400+ proficiencys on its respective weapon category), same with the staff that shoots these big ovals that stick to the walls, the shotgun is fine, the weapon that looks like a plasma repeater doesn't do that much damage either, the portal is really good, all meele weapons are decent and the throwables are good aswell, the one gun that shoots these big claw thingys and reloads like a crossbow is incredible good this patch, more often than not, if i spawn with one of the bad weapons, i will either switch to meele or lose if i don't spawn with an actual good weapon, i know RNG played a big part of the normal WB tournaments, but even if you spawned with a weapon you had no proficiencys with there you could still do damage, here not so much as those weapons basically do nothing at all

-Videodrome army may be tough, but it has weakness if you are 'gamey'. First and very easy way to disable them is charge single right into them. You become enemy, which means... that you can also give them orders. Now, you can order whole army to hold fire, than gently move them in big groups so your shooters can have nice big target.

that's definetly sounds like a neat trick to do, however imo it seems kinda exploitaible since you basically have already won the battle if you do this, so the persuadatron troops being inbalanced really doesn't matter here, im one of those players that prefer to strick to the game "Rules" as much as possible even if i bent them a bit if need to and telling the whole enemy army to just stand there and die seems a bit too much if you ask me

the problem with persuadatron troops is simple, they have an unfair advantage in the usual mount and blade meele combat, it doesn't matter how good the unit they are up against is, one hit is all it takes to take control of it and now you lost your unit AND have to fight it, basically the AI has no way to defend itself from it, that's why either giving them some sort of hacking resistance or making it so high tier/level troops are really hard to hack is also another good idea, that way it doesn't feel cheap when some recruit armed with a persuadatron hits your lvl 45 unit and makes it their own, it has happend one too many times in my current playthrought and while using the persuadatron yourself (or on your companions) can be fun, being in the receiving end of it is definely NOT fun at all

-because of the fact that persuaded enemies dont count towards casualties

i noticed this too, however, there's a book called CYBERWAR 6077, wich is the item that also gives you hacking resistance, it also has more effects including making persuaded enemys either prisioners or soldiers that join your army after battle, 50/50 chance according to its description, it basically makes hacking more broken than what it already is

my last playthought of 1.20 went until i captured the whole map, during that, lords mutated a TON, many had their attributes maxed already, however, the AI alone doesn't use the extra skill points lords gain from leveling up or from the extra INT mutations gives them, therefore they really don't grown in strenght that much since the effect attributes alone have on their combat prowess is negligible at best, they often died in 2 hits from my railgun, but now in 1.99 they have so much HP they just eat the damage and keep going, thankfully they don't have as high damage reduction as the bosses do so automatic weapons do great vs them, still, they are way too strongh atm and a pain to deal with

persuadatron and hacking in general is just broken, any troops that have them equipped are insanely OP aswell that's why the AI guys on the 10k scenario are so annoying to deal with, most of them have those weapons, there should be some way of gaining hacking defense, in one way or another because atm the only defense i got was from reading a book and that only affects my character, not my army

i managed to deal with the bosses kinda reliably after i stacked a lot of % ranged damage thought the use of chips and exquisite gear with 15 engineer and a masterwork machine gun, now my hits do damage but mostly very little unless they are headshots, thankfully everyone but the archmage is quite easy to hit thanks to their size, still they should be toned down because of how strongh they currently are, they weren't an issue last patch at all

there's also currently a bug with the option that allows you to take these bosses equipment, currently, once you ask them for their equipment they won't dissapear from your party, meaning you can just keep asking them for their gear as much as you can wich gives you infinite money and the best gear in the game without any effort at all

arthas125 - - 27 comments @ PARADIGM WORLDS

so far im enyoing the last patch a lot, however there is something that's causing issues for me and that's the fact that bosses and specially lords have wayyyyyy to much health and damage reduction, headshots with my railgun and 250% ranged damage only do 30 dmg on bosses and everything else does 0, for lords you do damage but they have way too much health so its kinda the same

this is a problem because your units will mindlessly focus them on battle without you knowing and they'll hit on them while ignoring the rest of the units they can actually kill, so the lord is just sitting there being a giant target dummy for all my troops to hit on, the only way im doing good is by focusing on him at the start of the battle and killing him,it takes way too much damage to finally down them, its silly, it didn't use to be this bad on 1.20, same with bosses

i can kinda understand bosses have that much resistance, they are kinda optional, still, how the hell are you even supposed to damage them properly?, lords however, are NOT optional and you are gonna be going to fight them A LOT, and doing this "focus yourself on the lord because you are the only one that can actually kill him" strategy is incredibly unfun after you do it 2 or 3 times, your strongh troops or companions should be able to handle them just as well as you can, but they currently cannot because they have so much health they'll just sit there and tank everything until you come and focus them with an automatic weapon to actually kill them

i also had a problem with the persuadratons taking control of my companions, after battle, i would get this screen where the companions would ask me if i want them back at my party, (kinda like the screen wich appears after they have comeback from gathering intel in the vanilla game) and i would say yes come back into my party but for some reason my party size would increase while i still had the same number of troops, i didn't check if i even got my companions back i think some of them weren't even in my party after battle, i ended up just reloading a previous save and ignoring the AI party i fought, those guys are a pain to fight anyways so i rather ignore them

EDIT: the persuadatron bug seems to be just visual regardless of what the game says, i was running with only my companions for a total size of 31 (30 companions plus my char) and after these battles i would have something like 35-41 party size depending on how many companions got controlled, however the number still the same, i checked and everything was the same, the number resetted itself to my actual party size of 31 once i went into another battle or recruited something, so its just a visual bug

this is all on the 10k scenario btw

i read a book and it gave me hacking defense, never saw this stat before so im assuming its new even tho hacking was already in the game for the necrocorps units and such, is there any other way to adquiere it? for example, it would be really usefull for companions, i fought a party of some AI dudes in the 10k scenario and they ended up controlling most of my companions lol, nothing i could do about it, it would be great for example, if the hacking skill also gave you some hacking defense, just like that book gave my character

-I managed to level up 13 levels and gather 30000 denars with one single delivery quest.

you can even increase this further if you spec into luck right from the start, its great, it skyrockets early game and makes it so you don't have to do the boring grind every other warband mod demands you to do every time you start a new playthought, very refreshing indeed, i also love how you get a sizeable amount of relations with towns/villages everytime you do a quest for them or finish a tournament, the meager +1 or +2 you get in vanilla or most mod per quest /tournament makes it a giant grind to get any city to actually like you (and therefore give you better prices) but in here you can just do a few quest and you'll have 99 relations in no time, wich is great because you are gonna need it, as items are incredible expensive, those 30k denars you got for that quest are barely enough to buy a barrel of water lol, but as you get more familiar with how the mod works, getting money becomes a non issue, just renember that battles are your friend and you can get upwards of 200k+ in tournaments if you win all rounds and bet as much as you can, and this is still not enough to buy actual good gear, so imo yes you do get a lot more denars than in any other mod, but the price of everything is increased aswell so it evens out

-Yesterday 1 soldier managed to take down 67 enemies easily, this makes no sense.

most very high tier units will completely wipe the floor with low tier ones, like they won't even take damage, but that's intended as they are hard to adquiere anyways, also companions are beastly,my army of 31 companions take about 80% or so of all the kills in my army every single battle no matter what they are up against, once they are properly geared and spec they become monsters its great, but you have to work for it and micromanage a lot, so its no everybody cup of tea, but the incentive is great, and having an army of inmortal super soldiers makes it all worth it

-The combat its extremely weird. Sometimes my bullets or meele attacks don't even inflict damage on most enemies (and same goes to me, its hard for me to get damaged).

you have to use all the new system the mod gives you, if you are gonna use guns then you should get good quality ranged microchips and invest into hacking and engineer to make them better as they boost your damage by an absolute ton, and if you do to little damage with each hit you won't be able to hurt units with good armor or high vanguard skill, having lordy gear increases your overall damage and personal battlefield efficiency, the latter wich increases the stats of every unit in the army, including yourself (tho the bonus from gear is only for whoever has it equipped) this can be further increase with a lot of skills such as leadership, manipulation, warfare and professional (formely trainer), so just learn the systems the mod gives you and these things become a non issue in no time

-Yes, this is intended. It is logic, exactly if you think about an item like lightsabre. It *should* add +critical skills, but only if really used. You are more deadly when using weapon, not having it in your backpack. So I would defend this decision.

that's fair enough, however you should change the description of these items so you know wich ones you have to put into your equipment slots to get the bonus from and wich ones you just need to put into your normal inventory, some already have them like the pirate hunters energy shield but others don't such as the hero lightsaber wich still says "when in inventory" instead of "while equipped", some others like the Necrocorp assasin suit says they give you the skill bonuses while in inventory but actually only work when you wear the armor, the Thrageshi Horror assasin lightsaber also says it gives you +3 to combat brutality while in inventory but only actually works when you equip it instead, im sure there's others but these are the ones that i've found so far in this playthrough

-So I have question: WHEN you have seen this crazy loop? Was it 5066 or 6077 or 10K?

10k, most if not all cities had like 20 soldiers max in them thanks to all the on going plagues after just 2 weeks, haven't tried the other scenarios yet but in 10k things are pretty chaotic with every faction wanting to take advantage of the weak garrisons to further their territorial gains, imo the plagues should either occur less often or have less of an impact in garrisons or have it so there's more of a grace time between them so the garrison can recover its loses a bit if the city is developed enough, or if, as you say, its suppose to be that deadly because of story reasons like in the 10k scenario, then make it so these events start striking hard mid game (50 - 100 in game days) instead of right after you spawn in the world so you can actually do something about it and influence the situation too

im also really happy with the new feature of your engineering skill being able to influence the quality of your crafted items, definetly a very welcomed addition!, i just wish the amount of items you could craft was way larger, for example you can only craft 2 meele weapons in total and 1 armor set and that's it, unless you are using ranged weapons a lot, wich there's a lot of,you don't really have a lot of stuff to craft and play around other than that, there should be more stuff just so you can get more use out of this system, maybe make it so books give you more recipes for you to craft stuff with, that would be neat, maybe having a way to refine items you buy or loot in the world to have better quality by paying materials or money too would be great

ahw shame to hear about the mutation bug, i guess i'll wait for the next patch then :) thanks a lot for your work on this amazing mod man its great to see you still gathering feedback and developing it, its truly one of a kind mod, there's nothing else like it and i love it

arthas125
arthas125 - - 27 comments @ PARADIGM WORLDS

so far the only bugs i have encountered are items that give stats when in inventory (such as hero lightsaber) not working correctly unless they are in one of your 4 equipment slots, this wasn't the case in the previous versions,in wich you could put them into your companions actual inventory by using the "i want you to lead the party" option in their dialog and then opening the inventory as normal, these items would work from there but now most don't

balance wise with the new plague system i see a lot of cities with literally no garrisons just 2 weeks into a new save because of it, makes getting walled fiefs really, really easy, it also skyrockets the Doomsday clock timer since everybody takes advantage of the weak garrisons and starts declaring war on eachother, +50 doomsday ticks for declarations of war is a bit too much when they occur so often, specially since there's no - to doomsday clock ticks for peace threatys

i also did some testing and my companions refuse to mutate no matter what, even if the option for enabling their mutation is on, i checked the option from time to time when i was passing time in game and it just resets to Off ( the default) for no reason, is there any other way to change it? i actually would like for my companions to mutate as much as they can since i spent 10 points in their mutagen skill and would love to actually get some use out of it

i wanna elaborate a bit more as to why you should nerf the Ressainance sappers

a unit this cheap and spamable SHOULDN'T be equipped with the best explosive weapon in the game, since sieges are all about chokepoints, your units won't even be able to get in because they are all dying from the goddamn AoE damage, it just becomes a mess, i had to cheese the game back and use the damn explosives myself in order to even be able to win these sieges (or autocal, but that's kinda hard when their castles had garrisons of 1800+ units....), their combat stats are also just way too good compared to the rest of the Renaissance units, i mean 14 in combat brutality and 13 in grenadier? really? that's extremely unbalanced, NOT EVEN ORDER UNITS HAVE THOSE STATS, and the sapper is a lvl 28 unit not even of the highest of tier (wich is also why the game puts so many in garrisons), it just doesn't make any sence

i made the horrible mistake of leaving the Renaissance guys as my last targets for conquests and by end game their castles/garrisons had like 500+ more of these guys on them, it was an absolute miserable experience to siege those fiefs, and my army consisted of 400+ Tao dimention masters, wich are the highest tier of units this order had, and they were getting ONE SHOTTED IN DROVES by the goddamn dynamite bombs, and when there's like 10-20 of these sappers on the walls.... and yeah well you get my point on how bad it was as an attacker.... they'll also eventually refill their ammo as if it wasn't enough ******** already, also not sure if on purpose, but the most Chokepointy heavy siege layouts were also the layouts most of the Renaissance fiefs had, wich just made things a lot worse

back when i sieged the morlok guys, their units equipped with grenades were getting some few kills here and there but they are absolutely trash at meele ( the NKVD guards don't even have any meele weapon wtf) but these sappers guys have dynamite bombs and those are wayyyyy to good for any unit to use, not even the sanitarium conspiracy dudes with those demon heads manage to even do as much damage as those sappers,in fact they were quite **** for the best unit the sanitarium dudes have, but then again, the sanitarium conspiracy was the easiest faction to destroy for me and they are imo the worst in the game right now, the sappers on the other hand, are just way too Overpowered and an absolute nightmare to fight against IN SIEGES, on the field they get stomped by cavalary unless you command them properly and thankfully the AI doesn't do this, but the meatgrinder nature of sieges just gives AoE weapons way too much of an advantage, as i said before, thankfully im able to use those weapons myself so i was able to screw them over with the same weapons but when i wasn't there to make a difference, my troops just got SLAUGHTERED

and keep in mind that this is all coming from somebody that captured the WHOLE MAP and didn't have troubles with ANY other unit or faction at all,the Alien Shogunate had the best units overall (that's why they had the most territory in my game second to the Reinassance guys), but nothing as OP as the sappers, not even the order units or the "super strong" units this mod has managed to be as good in sieges as the renaissance sappers, wich is absolutely ridiculous

Absolutely Incredible mod, good job, i must admit i was kinda hesitant to try it at first, but i have played almost all warband mods avaiable in one way or another and i can say with certaintly that yours is the one i have had the most Fun with, thank you for making it

if you are still updating it, i would love to see a feature wich allows you to improve your items quality (lordy/masterwork, etc) by either paying money or resources, right now for example you can't get a lordy Pirate juggernaut armor in anyway unless you cheat it in since its exclusive to the loot of pirate horde partys, same thing with the unique spawn equipment, this means that while its the best armor all around, you cannot benefict from the modifiers extra Battlefield efficiency bonus, wich gets really big and usefull with high Engineering skill, and that's a shame because almost everything offered in town shops doesn't even come close to being as good as those items, also hunting for items from town to town is time consuming and annoying, having the option just to pay to improve your items would be much better and you can balance it by making it expensive or requiere certain items according to what you see fits the mod the best

also according to the tavern keeper micro-chips bonuses don't work on skeletons, and that seem silly considering eventually most NPCs in the game are gonna end up converting into one, so if you spent a lot of money buying good quality microchips for your companion/yourself and suddently you mutate into a skeleton, it all goes to waste (this is also true for the mutation skill wich becomes useless once you stop mutating, and this is all random), if this works like this you should change it because you have no control over it and it really screws you over after doing so much busy work to get those items in the first place and suddently they are useless when the game randomly decides to make them be, i've tried to test if this is true or not but there isn't really any reliable way to see if you are getting the micro-chip bonus or not in game, maybe a little stat screen or effects on characters wich have them functioning would be good or something of the sort

so what you are saying is that gameplay wise im able to one shoot the heroes because my headshot damage is enough to go over a threshold in wich they are instant killed? i guess that would explain why it started to happend as soon as i got that masterwork bow since it has 34p damage in comparison to the 25p bow i was using before so it wasn't able to get that much damage in a single hit unlike this new bow, i guess its a neat feature but it makes the duels and the enemy heroes trivial to defeat, to say the least

they are not stop being so stubborn mate, let me put it like this, i saved my game before going into one fight with a party that has a hero on it, he challenges me to a duel and i headshot him, death, then i load the game again, do the same fight, but i go for body shoots instead, it takes well over 10 arrows to the body each doing 50-70 damage to kill him, yet before it only took one headshot wich only did 130 damage to have thim dead, understand? how can you say there's nothing fishy about this? its pretty obvious that there's something bugged in there, as i said before i did this with several partys and the result was always the same, also this started to happend once i started using my masterwork skybow, before i was using a random bow and it didn't behave like this

arthas125 - - 27 comments @ 108 Heroes

nope that is not the case, i even tested my damage on them by only doing body/leg shoots and it took a LOT of arrows to kill them wich means they have a lot of health, each arrow was doing 50-70 damage btw, they couldn't have had any time to heal because my attacks barely have any downtime in between them, yet one single headshot wich only did 130-180 dmg would Insta kill them, i tried several times with a lot of lords/heroes, same result

something is bugged, either the bow or my skills or i have a hidden perk wich makes the headshots be an instant kill, i have not done any mindreading or any of the main quests btw, i have just been going around killing bandits and leveling up, im not vassal or mercenary either so that can't be it either
