I disagree; once that helicopter goes down, you have officially killed it good. "Destroyed" sounds very mechanical, and if you've had any experience with helicopters in CoC you can surely appreciate how personal the experience of downing one becomes.

One thing to remember is that grass cover works both ways; I can't tell you how many times I've been trying to spot a prone soldier in the ARMA series and he's just picked me right off while I'm prone in taller grass. If the AI doesn't react to the presence of grass at all - especially when crouched - it can be extremely frustrating. I hate playing the ARMA games without the lush grass, but it can be extremely infuriating otherwise.

Sorry guys, but until you can make a mod befitting the moniker of such an iconic series, please do not use They Hunger in the title - it really elevates the players' hopes beyond what you have delivered. Good luck on your polishing and further bug fixing, but I can't imagine having enough interest to come back and try again.

Only problem is it breaks newer versions of IE, which I need for my college classes. Hopefully there's going to be at least some attempt to remedy this on the engine side (OpenXRay is what CoC is using I believe) so there's no need for this nonsense with uninstalling updates.

I can't say I understand why the Windows Update causes so many problems for DX10/11 with CoC. I've been playing other DX10/11 games for entirely too many hours at a time with absolutely no stability issues (I'm looking at you, Last Light Redux), and yet I can't get CoC to last more than a few hours unless it's running DX9E. Seriously, what gives?

After an ingame month of playing, artifacts have stopped spawning for me. Not sure if it's an addon or base issue, but I've been trying various approaches to the save to figure it out.

Well, as amazing as this is, there really needs to be a fix for Yantar. If you spend any amount of time there, you're going to run into a completely annihilated population of ecologists; zombies are constantly getting out of the back entrance to the facility (where the boxes are stacked up to allow access in) by somehow climbing a vertical wall to get out. This also leads the eggheads over there, where they assault the zombies by climbing in (the legitimate way) and assaulting the horde. The eventuality is that Yantar quickly loses its entire ecologist population. Hilarious on one hand, tragic on the other.

They do respawn after emissions, but only in the current map as far as I've seen. I think the last patch upped the respawn chance.

Beautiful! The assets are top notch and the level design (so far) is quite gorgeous. Unfortunately much of this detail is obstructed by heavy bloom, a questionable color palette, and depth of field that simply does not make sense (I want the environment to be more crisp and detailed, not so much the back of my character). As it stands, I feel like the game camera has multiple vision disorders.

Can't wait to see what's next, though! Great teaser.

Love the game, but unfortunately it's crashing my display driver. Happens most often in the arena (always within 5 seconds of loading the map) but randomly in other areas as well. I've tested both with the latest WHQL and beta nVidia drivers, ends with either a bluescreen, hard lock or a driver crash recovery.

Windows 7 x64 Home, 660ti, 16 GB RAM.

Couldn't have said it better myself. Gamers blasted DooM 3 (a horror cliche that was unafraid to be one) for having a hand-held flashlight, yet it's welcomed in a STALKER mod for "enhancing immersion" and being "atmospheric". People are really damn stupid.

If you weren't referencing this and were serious, I don't have the words to describe how much I can't stand people like you. Here's a typical answer for ya though: duct-taping it to the barrel of your rifle would cause the rifle to become unbalanced, unwieldy and stupid-looking.

In regards to the blue fog: says who? 0rpheus is 100% correct: **** brown doesn't mean post apocalypse, especially considering the unique "post apoc" scenario of the STALKER series, which is pretty far removed from the traditional Hokuto no Ken / Fallout.

That and I've never seen a brown fog; not even after I've nuked the bathroom at work.

For those of you having issues with screen resolution settings:

Navigate to the \bq\ folder in the game's directory and open up config.cfg - edit vid_width and vid_height to your desired resolution settings. Save the file and start the game. If you scroll down you can also find options for vsync, bloom, anisotropic filtering and antialiasing (vid_samples) as well as cl_bob for headbobbing. Due to complete lack of texture detail, there's no real reason to turn anisotropic filtering on at all so keep that in mind.

Works great for about 10 minutes, then turns into a flaming wreck of 1-5 fps. Not sure what's causing it, but it's unplayable for me and my bud on A2. Hopefully this gets resolved somewhere down the road.

Very, very cool; glad to see the BIZON making a triumphant return! The only real downside I saw was all the ridiculously ****** hitboxes (especially with that 1911 kill), but that's a source issue and not anything to do with this mod. Keep up the good work!
