Yes, that would explain all the seemingly useless pipes running down (although they do seem to like there poles rather large in circumference..) and the dangling chains from which kinky cages were probably suspended.
This is now dwemer canon

So, did you even read his comment? If so FYI disagreeing with someone is the exact opposite of agreeing with someone...
Well, they'll have to make money off of it in some way. And this seems to me as a very fair way of doing things. No pay to win crap, just monetized user created content (which guarantees some quality control too).
Also pc exclusive. **** Yeah!!
Nice textures =/= lore friendly...
Not that elves in the third age are all that interesting, as they are effectively idle throughout the war of the ring. If you would take the elves away out of a mod about Beleriand, now that would be a waste.
''Then go out there! Create your own delusion and try to impose your sense of justice on those who will listen. Share your wisdom with the world and so perhaps save it from the doom you foresee.
And then come back running, when it all comes crashing down. For the truth is harsh and bitter to those that hope. There is no justice, there is no order, no ultimate goal to steer by and most of all there is no such thing as 'better'. In the end we are all just wriggling in the mud. Perhaps we might wriggle ourselves into the next mud pool, which may be even deeper than the one we currently find ourselves in. Progression is the greatest illusion mankind has ever faced.
You are not the first and surely you will not be the last. The only real law which can be applied to mankind is hope and so we are ruled by folly.''
So, I guess I'm not an idealist :)
MISplaced sentiment. Does anyone actually read in here? And the reason that it is misplaced is explained in my reply to Lt.Dann. Don't you understand that binding any intrinsic worth to life equals the acknowledging of a higher power (the acknowledging of a 'good' and 'bad' really)?
I think there's somewhat of a misunderstanding here. You see, I don't think there's anything wrong with people valuing the life of a cat (or the life of any other organism ofcourse), but that doesn't mean that life itself is worth something on its own (which is the definition of intrinsic). And so despising Christianity for killing cats some 700 years ago is just hypocrite, as you're basically saying that they're evil for doing that, while 'evil' is a made up word abused often by every religion in the world. There are lots of very good arguments to despise Christianity, but this is definitely not one of them.
Since when has "I don't understand this **** --> downmod" become the consensus by the way? I thought this page was meant to unite all atheists?
He was trying to encourage hating on an entire group of people because of the misplaced sentiment for a few cats. If you can justify that, please tell me how or why...
Whatever. Acknowledging that there is some sort of universal code of morality is pretty much the same as acknowledging the existence of a deity. Life is no more than the coming together of the right matter at the right time, after which increasing (and decreasing) complexity is achieved over time. As a result of this there is no intrinsic worth of life, other than what mankind itself has given to it.
Yet indeed the moral values for both those characters are easy to identify. Turin was a severe case of bad luck, though he always tried to do what he believed was right. Feänor was a man of his word (which to me seems honourable enough) and he swore to do anything in his power to get back the Silmarils and so he did. There are not that many complex characters in Tolkien's world. I think the only character that is not so easy to read would be Gollum (or Sméagol really, for Gollum just hungered for the ring ofcourse).
Man, those models kick ***. Good work, as usual :)
*mumbles something inexplicable about SimCity 5*
I understand, of course. I guess we're all tolkien fans here and we're all in desperate need of a good lotr RPG. Patience is still key though and rushing a game is never a good thing (*cough* Rome Total War 2 *cough*).
I did not say stupid. I said unanswerable, as real life can come in at any point to ruin the expected release date. Therefore it's not wise for a mod creator to set a release date, as that will only lead to disappointed followers...
And I only ask you to read through the comments section a bit more before asking any other questions. It will do you good, as you will learn a lot more about this mod and you won't have to bother us with questions that have been asked and answered a million times by now.
I'd rather have Jarvy working on the mod instead of replying to the comments. He can't answer everyone who asks small questions (or unanswerable questions, like yours). So that's why it's good to have a little 'fan base' being active in the comment section to answer those.

So you either have no idea how many man hours it takes to create a good mod, or you haven't got a clue what 'waiting long' means (or perhaps a merry mix of the two). Anyways, give jarvy some time to finish the first part properly. We wouldn't want to play a half-finished mod, would we? That wouldn't do justice to Jarvy's hard work...
Because of this: Moddb.com ... WB had the nerve to **** some 30 000 people off by killing MERP.
That would be Warner Bros., the great evil of our time. The one enemy of all the free modders on this Earth.
Haha, Well, we all got a bit wary for c&d's because of WB I guess. Anyway you should really tell her about all the havoc she caused here :P
I don't think that's a good idea. Supporting WB by doing the marketing for them is kind of taboo for me and (hopefully) any other merp fan... But google will probably help you :) (I actually now regret that I ever mentioned WB's lotr game here... They don't deserve the attention, unless what they come up with is really Really REALLY good, as in 'best game ever by all accounts')
Yeah, I know. I'll look up some reviews of it when it arrives and when it's not a 10/10 all across the board (or if I spot but one screenshot with some idiotic character holding a flaming staff or something similar), I'll probably just leave it be in silent resentfulness :)
I agree, though it wouldn't really surprise me. WB is making its own lotr game after all.
Where have I heard that before.... If he's indeed c&d'ed, just like merp, he sadly doesn't stand a chance I think.
'Well, if that isn't queerer than ever', to quote Farmer Maggot. Now at least their C&D makes sense. I really hope that it's going to be good, but my hope is vain I deem... Not that I'm going to buy it anyway, but still I'm curious what they will come up with.
That's some proper concept art. Now I just need Summoning playing in the background and I'll be lost for a few hours in my own imagination kindled by this art, summoning and Tolkien :)
He didn't, he just thought there was no other way. But I see what you were trying to point out ;)
Plains!! Bordered by mountains!! Yes, finally a game with great plains :) Are they going to be grassy or bare and inhospitable (like an American desert)? O and I like the story too so far xD
Agandaur is a made up character, created for the purpose of War in the North, so I don't really see why he should be implmented in this mod...
Look, I do have a very deep respect for the MERP team, so I'm not trying to take anything away from the project. I'm just being realistic (I think). Anyway it sounded an awful lot as a lament there, but as it evidently was not, I take back my previous comment :) No hard feelings, we're all Tolkien fans after all.
