Curious, are there plans for the RV wiki or is it there for later when the mod is released? Is this a project for the Dev team or would it be alright if some of non-Dev's worked on filling it out?

Uhhhh, well I dunno, it could use some work. I don't like the whole triangle thing, the red colour doesn't suit it, and those wings are obviously fake. I suggest scrapping this entire idea and making a simple tank with treads and a turret, a more sensible design. Oh, and make it off-white. That should just about fix it. :P

I like most of this unit, although there was something with the front dome that looked too plain in my opinion. Otherwise its an amazing model
Seems like a good concept, I'll have to wait and see for later when its textured before I comment on how it looks. I really liked how the shotja worked in Supcom 2, so a heavier version in addition to it will be great to see.
Great design, reminds me of the Aeon engies from supcom 1.

I'm curious, does the AA operate independent of the main direct fire turret? or are they connected in their rotation? Its a very nice model to be sure.
I think that pillars are best. It helps the mod team, and means our units can be as large as we like. Also, there's always that awkward stumbling your expies have to do to get out of a crowded base's gantry, which could be averted using a warp pillar with an area of spawnage. And yes, it looks better. :)

Loving the texturing job for this, i can see this unit charging into a base like an angry rhino with laser tentacles, railguns, and spikes
it'd have to be pretty darn fast or cheap to make it worth the money to make a raider expy. If its a weak spot, why not send a couple T1 tanks with stealth instead, rather than waste a perfectly good experimental? Love the design, but the concept may need revising no offense.

I feel like its a weapon: we lure the enemies through the portal using cherry lollypops and nom them with our gate opening and closing... :P

The game Space Rangers 2 has an RTS in it (it isn't an rts game, but has a good rts in it) with a FPS toggle you might be interested in. I found it interesting and you can get the game pretty cheap.
With some energy effects below it'll look real nice.

Don't know if this was suggested for the Portal Wars or not, but to solve the Naval Question, how about a sort of mega-transport that is spawned by the pillar and carries it to a desired location. It would have good health, but the health help to balance it because the farther away from the pillar you send the (slow) transport, the greater the risk of losing the unit. The transport would return to the pillar after transportation. Another solution is to make the transport invincible, but have it set to move to a specified location (beacon).
