I'm having the same problem. If I disable the mod first, the game launches, but enabling the mod in-game also results in a mini-dump, no matter the graphic settings I have selected first.

The Alliance isn't a faction in this mod, but it is part of the Citadel faction. It looks like the Alliance, Asari, Salarians, Turians, and Quarians make up the Citadel faction.
