Under windows XP/2K pro make sure you run the program as/on an administrator account.

thanks for the screenshot, I think this means that you didn't have all of the original amnesia background music files in the first place... or they are in use for some reason, did you have one of them open in a media player/editor? If you'd like I can sure upload a simple SFX archive for you.

I want it to be "too long" personally... I think abduction should have won the "best mod" contest... I hope its longer than Twilight Princess... (I don't think there's such a thing as "too long" as long as your willing to make it... make it as long as possible.)

I do have a surround system, it merely upscales Dolby pro logic stereo to about 7.1 surround, works nice with older consoles and games...

Ive successfully upscaled SOME of the amnesia soundtrack to 5.1 :D however, the hpl2 engine does not support 5.1 channel surround for music, so the files will just be for listening, there is a ray of hope, the sound effects can be played in multi-channel surround, using ( 205.196.123.205 ) just install the dll file "soft_oal.dll" into the amnesia "redist" folder then when you start up the amnesia launcher there should be an "unsupported" device in the list of usable sound cards, select that device (if there are more than one, select the "unsupported" device for the sound card you wish to use) and play away... I will upload the 5.1 files just for fun but it'll be a few days, i'm busy as ____ at a college summer program... There is a linux exclusive openal extension ( Adalin.com ) but I currently am not able to test this out, linux users, good luck to you.

Upscaling sound from stereo to 5.1 surround takes a bit longer than my traditional projects, this audio pack will be for novelty purposes anyways, just for listening. But I want to give all of you with those fancy surround systems a special version of the Amnesia soundtrack.

If any of you play "Penumbra: The Black Plague" or "Penumbra: Overture" or "Penumbra: Requiem" I can upload virtual surround versions of their background music aswell... I currently only have "Penumbra: The Black Plague" complete, if any of you want this, notify me.

Updated the videos to contain only virtual surround instead of a contrast between the virtual surround and original audio. I do not use Audacity for the audio manipulation, I merely used it to display the waveform. thanks for the comment UnseenLegend.
