I play games. A lot of games. First Person Shooters, Third Person Shooters, Real Time Strategy, Flight Simulators, whatever. That's pretty much all that there is that you should need to know about me on a website about games. But here's a little more. I'm a nice guy. And that's positive. Not a lot of people put the effort out to be nice to one another anymore, in case you hadn't noticed. I don't weight 7 million pounds and I don't live in my parents' basement. I'm actually an average human being, and I live in an apartment in Saint Louis, Missouri. I am a Senior Aerospace Engineering student. I have a girlfriend. She tolerates my gaming habits. The only game that she actually 'gets into' is Forza Motorsports 2, which is coincidentally the only game that I cannot 'get into.' I write fiction in my spare time, and do a particularly awful job at it.

The Tavara is my absolute favorite ship in Fleet Operations. Just look at how beautiful that thing is.

Great mod!

Absolutely amazing design! I would have loved to have seen a ship like this in the show.

Hey,

Just wanted to let you know how much fun this mod is! Great job on the newest release, too! Always good to see dedicated work on a fun and exciting mod like this one! Thanks for keeping the spirit of Homeworld 2 alive!

Sorry about all the negative comments you seem to have gotten! I guess it comes with the territory! The mod installed easily for me, and I've enjoyed every moment that I've spent with it. I love the ships, and the cinematic feel of all the battles. The Revelation is still my ship of choice.

Keep up the good work!

This is the coolest opening menu I've seen in a game yet. Definitely took some cues from the Jurassic Park DVD edition.

I can't wait to get my hands on this and enjoy just watching (God I hope) the ripples in the footprints.

This is probably the most impressive raptor cage I have ever seen. The scale, the attention to detail, and the intricacies of the model assembly are excellent. Thrown in a red warning light on the door lock indicator and a worker being dragged into the cage and I'll probably drop to my knees and worship you.

I have a severely minor crit. I think that there are some filled in spaces under the decking on the viewing platform. If I remember correctly, about every other embutement is filled in with cement and in-laid back about 8-12 inches to support the concrete decking.

Now all you need is a sound clip of Robert Muldoon shouting "Shoot her!"

Absolutely stunning work, mates.

So far, this kitchen looks pretty accurate and a lot better than Jurassic Life's did in their beta version of the Visitor Center from 2 years ago. Now pretty much all you need is about a million and a half pots and pans from the stock HL2 model library, and you've got yourself probably the most tense and yet annoying scenes from the film. Don't forget to include tons of shiny surfaces! XP

Don't bother. I just posted a really long explanation right before he posted...

I just want to say how excited I am about this mod, and hope that the guys building it have as much fun building it as we all know we will when we play it. I don't want to think that it's a bunch of boring work for them, and that we are the ones who get all the reward without any of the work.

For all the people who keep ranting about Dr. Breen and the other relatively unknown characters; (there are, of course, possible major spoilers)

Dr. Wallace Breen is never seen in the original Half-Life or its expansions. Breen's involvement in the Half-Life story up until HL2 is that of the mystery-steeped administrator of the BMRF, and his presence is only felt in the paranoia that builds as you near the test chamber. Interestingly, all of the documents from the Office of the Administration of the Black Mesa Research Facility are signed LM, and not WB. You can refer to your own in-box multimedia, especially your game manual, which has references to this. His significance to the storyline, aside from the events of Half-Life 2, exists in that he negotiated the careful surrender of Earth, from the Black Mesa region, immediately following the Seven Hour War.

The scientist in Blue-Shift who sends you through the teleport to the other side is Dr. Rosenberg. After surviving the Resonance Cascade, he and Drs Gina Cross and Colette Green make their way to a surface transmitter and alert the military to the happenings at Black Mesa. Shortly afterwards, Rosenberg becomes suspicious of the military's motives at Black Mesa, and he joins with fellow scientists Walter (Bennet) and Simmons. Together, with the help of Barney Calhoun, they are able to escape the facility via an old prototype teleport, shortly before the destruction of Black Mesa.

The scientist in Decay who is bound to his wheelchair, and perhaps partly responsible for some of the events of Black Mesa in his own way is Dr. Richard Keller. He was responsible for the preparation of the Anti-Mass Spectrometer, and also in following the administrator's orders to run the AMS at above safe operating parameters. Though he is also responsible for aiding Drs. Colette Green and Gina Cross in erecting a resonance dampening field, and thus weakening the resonance cascade, their fate after the events of Decay are unknown, as they were deep inside the facility grounds around the time when Opposing Force's nuclear weapon would have been detonated.

Dr. Isaac "Izzy" Kleiner was not seen in Half-Life, though referenced multiple times by those who spoke down to Dr. Freeman. Kleiner was Freeman's faculty sponsor, and an old friend and mentor from MIT. Kleiner worked in the Anomalous Materials division of the Black Mesa Sector 3 Test Labs and Control Facilities branch, but was not immediately present in the immediate vicinity of the test chamber during the incident. He survived, along with Dr. Eli Vance and his daughter Alyx, who at the time was only a child. Vance's wife, Azian Vance, perished in the disaster and was not recovered before the final military operations at Black Mesa were cut short by the nuclear weapon installed by the Black Ops.

As mentioned before Dr. Colette Green and Gina Cross, the main protagonists of Half-Life: Decay, are currently in the same position as Dr. Keller. Though last seen alive, their survivaly is unlikely. It is highly probable that they died heroes' deaths for their part in helping to end the resonance cascade (though we know that the termination of the cascade only halted the Xen invasion, and perhaps facilitated the Combine in holding control over Xen and eventually gaining control of Earth). Valve has hinted that characters from Portal will either be familiar or fairly familiar, and that they will play a part in the upcoming Half-Life storyline. There is the remote possibility that one of said characters may be either Dr. Cross or Dr. Green, but the possibility is unlikely.

Dr. Judith Mossman missed her opportunity to be present at Black Mesa, and her obsession over Eli Vance is representative of this. She often laments over not being part of the significant events that created the events of Half-Life 2, and in some ways this served as her motivation to become part of something larger than herself, namely her involvement with the Combine teleport research before joining the resistance.

Thanks for your time!

I guess I'm going to have to take matters into my own hands and learn to mod this game for one, simple purpose. Custom disasters.

I'm talking about tripods from War of the Worlds that you can steer, firing lasers into the buildings you work so long to build. Air crashes that you can choose the impact location of, not to mention splash damage galore (remember SC2000?). Riots that you can place on the street you choose. Floods, hurricanes, meteor SHOWERS, aimable nukes, etc.

Anyone else feel like supporting me in finding some talented modders (which I am not...yet.)? >.<

I think it'd make a pretty good mod.
