Oh god, do I love this mod.

Right, because a week without news obviously means the whole dev team got fed up and quit.

None of the servers I go to will let me download the maps. I just get disconnected. I can't get the maps from the forums either because the links are either broken or hosted on Rapidshit or Megaupload.

I have to say, it's pretty fun. The only thing that kills it for me is all the ******* griefing.

Ah, I remember this mod, could be very fun as long as the zombies could still get to you. It got annoying when three people would just camp on a box and kill all the zombies.

PJ, I'm not bashing your team. I never said anything unkind about your team. I also don't go around "bashing every mod". I only once been on a mod team, the team leader wasn't the best and it fell apart pretty quickly. Also, do I have to have made a mod to criticize one? I mean most movie critics haven't made a film. I'm just stating my opinion on the content released so far. If you can't handle some negative feedback, that's too bad.

You guys release often, that's great. However a media release for the sake of a media release isn't always a good thing. You respond to most of the comments posted, that's great. Though I think sometimes you just skim over my comment and just chalk it all up to me saying "OMGZ I HATE ALL U DEVS AND UR **** SUKZ AND I IMMA TROLL U RANT RANT RANT."

I never said you were terrible or stupid. You also never mentioned anything about the tv series. From all the media you're presented the mod looked to be based off the Ova and the movie.

Zeitgeist the movie is just a collection of poorly supported conspiracy theories suggesting that the world is run by a select group. In the Starship Troopers universe the world government is formed because average citizens were sick of the way things were being done by their corrupt governments. The way you posted the link above it seems more like your personal political soapbox than anything.

Look, more on the mod, I hope you guys continue to do well. The reason I brought up what I did is because you're getting a bit ahead of yourselves. A few unfinished model renders and some deathmatch videos set to rap music don't exactly make it seem like much progress is being made. Like I said in my last post, wouldn't it be better to get the warriors working in game?

I do like that you've set your date release date for October 2010. That will give you more than enough time for a stable and polished release.

I didn't really like movie when set against the book and the TV show. Paul Verhoeven's movie had next to nothing to do with the source material. even thought I liked the movie, basing a game/mod off of it isn't the best idea. The TV show, not the OVA mind you, but Roughnecks: the Starship Troopers Chronicles would been a better bet.

I like how every other word in any of your posts is "Lol". There's really nothing funny about it. You told us over and over during the last few updates that you're trying to be as open as possible with the community, but then you say that you're not telling us everything. Why not actually work on getting the arachnids in game, or finishing some of those model renders? Why work on a generic deathmatch gamemode first? I also find it unlikely that Sony will pick up your team for a full retail game when you haven't even gotten anywhere near alpha status. Why do you make reference to Zeitgeist the Movie? The **** does that have to do with ANYTHING? I don't think you even bothered to read the book, watch the movies or even watch the TV show. On one final note, Hell's Angels? Seriously? Couldn't you have found something less generic and cliche?

I don't understand why you're claiming "Freedom of Speech" when the U.S. constitution has no power on the internet.

There is not much point in calling it a "Multiplayer Promo" when it contains no actual multiplayer. If I were you I would at least get the bugs skinned, codded and working, then move on from there. There are plenty of CTF and Deathmatch mods out there, but very few Starship Troopers Mods.
