Hi there, you should definitely give Unity a shot. See if there is an asset kit that will help you make the kind of game you want to make, if nothing else then to help teach you. Start with something simple and not your greatest idea, but enough to test building a game like you have in mind for yourself, the basic mechanics etc. From there you can build bigger and better projects. In terms of game dev, Unity is friendly like you would find other software that aims to make tasks clearly presentable and usable for beginners. Maybe a programmer will look to help you, but it's always good to look for your "own" route (that is, where you are literally the only person who has the potential to make it happen). Because sometimes that is the only route that will ever really present itself, and trust me on this one, people who want to help initially more often than not teeter off into obscurity/non-existence with their own life goals/important tasks. Well, just giving you some perspective to help you on your way as I have no idea how the responses go to job postings here! Don't forget to drop into reddit gamedev and reddit gamedevclassifieds where you may find more help/advice. regards!
