Machetes in general are bad for stealth in this game, because the guy yells out in pain when you slice him open. Unless he's really isolated it's almost certainly gonna alert everyone around him. The silenced weapons and air rifle are the way to go as far as stealth is concerned.
Hello there, me again. I was wondering if you could put up a version of this one without the FOV modifications. I'm still doing my best with the 6-year old laptop so the bigger FOV looks pretty funky. Btw, do the Infamous saves from the Special Version work with this one? I'm thinking of making a mod compilation that I can share with some friends and the saves are really useful because no one wants to see that damn intro sequence every time you start a new game.
What does "new secondary weapon animations" mean? Always interested in seeing people mod Far Cry 2, I don't think it got the love it deserved 10 years ago.
Cool, I was just curious because I forgot that the accuracy upgrade for weapons reduced recoil as well, so I wondered if that could be modified.
I'm liking the final version of this a lot. The increased FOV is pretty funky for me because I'm playing on a smaller laptop but I'm not complaining.
Just out of curiosity, to what extent can you modify weapons and vehicles? Like top speed and health for vehicles, or recoil, accuracy, ROF etc for weapons. Just asking because a lot of the modifiers generally change damage and maybe magazine size, but not much else.

Haven't tried the ExtraContent.reg yet but so far I'm a big fan, the no blinking alone and the correct magazines sizes alone make it worth downloading.
If I can say things about the weapons, I'd say the 7.62x51 guns could have their damaged upped a bit. You don't really feel the firepower jump over the assault rifle calibers, which in terms of gameplay is kind of balanced by it being rarer and carrying less ammo for it.
Also there's probably too many Desert Eagles in general, but I hate those damn things even if they're probably the best handgun in-game.

Now that you've consolidated the mods together, how do you make Rainbow operatives shoot assault rifles in semi auto? I wouldn't mind if full auto didn't make the battle rifles' accuracy to go crap.
Thanks for this. You made me reinstall Max Payne 2 for this, and I don't regret it one bit. The DLC section is something special. Some feedback, though:
-Is it possible to have the pick up ammo and the pick up new weapon actions on different keys? I can't remember the number of times I had a weapon with 200+ rounds wasted by accidentally picking up a new weapon.
-I noticed that you can't do Last Stand or those cool looking takedowns outside of the story. I don't know, but wouldn't it be nice to have those in other modes? It would defo make it more cinematic.
-This last one's more of a personal thing, but is it possible to have the Beretta in the game? I remember that in Max Payne 3 they had the Taurus PT92, which is almost identical. Maybe it could replace the 1911, and you could have the 1911 as the backup. Or maybe it could be the permanent backup. The reason for this is that (in my mind at least) the Beretta-type pistol is so attached to the Max Payne image that it's hard to image him without one.
Take that as you will, you've really done something great with this mod.

If I remember correctly the LE and NG can be hostile as well as friendly. How that is decided in-game is beyond me.

It's a really good mod, but a little thing that annoys me is how inaccurate the MP5 is. I don't really mind it as it is but an MP5 should be able to actually hit the zombie from farther than 5 metres. Could you please do something about this?
But wasn't the older vz58 fully automatic? I seem to remember a television show(not the best source I know) with full-auto vz58-ish weapons.
