1st i dont know how to change the initial european campaign units
2nd the reason why the cannonballs explode into fragments is to immitate the DME cannon balls, to do more damage and an actual treat. In DME when the round balls hit the ground they explode into 20 airgun bullets, 10 of which go diretly into the ground and dont hit anyone. the other 10 are the reason behind the casualities. i tried with airgun fragments, but i noticed soem of those rounds where flying miles at all directions and sometimes hitting random units on random parts of the battlefield, so i changed to grenade fragments that only affect a small area of effect to simulate shotwave and the extra damage.
3rd i've removed the direct fire with cannons and replaced it with indirect one, from the howitzers, due to friendly casualities and barelly any shot actually hitting. the cannons shot through both friendly and enemy lines, idk why but it appears that there's no option to actually shoot over your lines and only hit the enemy ones, and attention, this was happening on the frontline, not units directly in front of the cannons, at least 300 meters distance
4th units in napoleon dont shoot upwards, they shoot in a straight line, that is then changed into a circle of possible hits depending in unit accuracy, weapon spread and weapon marksmanship bonus, whats happening, is that they are shooting in various direction on that circle of possible hit, so some bullets go direcly, some downwards, and some upwards, because all round bullets can bounce, some bounce of the ground and go upwards, giving you the impression its going up but its not. Thats why there's an advantage into having high ground. the untis will shoot at a low angle and the bullets spread into a much bigger area and therefore hitting much more units. you can only get precise shots with well trained units with good shooting weapons, like rifles

ah **** it is true, i'm not gonna be working in the mod for a while you should try give it a shot by yourself, download PFM and try to search what it is in the DMN_DarthMod_Napoleon.pack file, i've looked into it, its probably in the governments table, i'll try to fix it when i can, also noticed, you can make ambushes in hills during winter for some reason, removing that on the next update

exacly as that guy said,your script must have this two " mod DMN_DarthMod_Napoleon.pack; mod DMN_aum_nap_mod.pack; " and if you are playing with x2 units, it should automaticly have this one too " campaign_unit_multiplier 2; "
Protip: if you wanna have extra camera zoom copy past this " default_camera_type 2; " into the script in darthmod's menu
