We are looking for an experienced weapon modeler who can design new weapons for Hard Duty. If you are an animator as well, this is a plus!
This is NOT a paid position. Please, make sure you understand this! Enough with sent e-mails not taking this into account.
Weapon modellers who wish to apply for the job need to provide previous samples of their work. We are interested in real life weapons, but non-terrestrial weapons are also accepted in your application so long as they do not go too far into fiction.
A portfolio is not 100% required but it will increase your chances of being selected. Ideally, you should have a few years of experience in this area. If you have worked in animation, this is a plus! Furthermore, if you have worked with previous game companies or other mod teams, please list them in your application for us to look at.
No matter where you are in the world, you can apply. However, we ask that you speak English (fluently would be best, or at least make it so that we understand what you are trying to say).
Requirements & Application Guidelines:
We ask that applicants are at least 18 years old have 3 years of experience minimum.
This is what you should send in your application should you want to join the team:
1) Your name or alias
2) A brief description of yourself
3) (Optional) Your professional background
4) How long you have been modelling (plus animating if you have)
5) Why you want to join the team
6) If you ever worked for somebody else, a mod's team or even a game or movie studio, list them (as we would be honoured to know who we are working with)
7) (Optional) Additional comments that you would like to add
Don't forget to format your text and present your application in a professional manner. The better it looks, the higher the chances of having a first reply.
Involvement & Behavior:
Firstly, if you have been accepted, your skills will be put to the test to make sure the quality reaches the one in the mod. You will produce a weapon model. We will give you all the information about the weapon model you need to create if we get back to you. If your work is deemed acceptable, you will be granted access to the mod's files to expand it. During this test phase, work as if you were on the team. Ideally, your work should be that it ends up in the mod and not scrapped.
Secondly, if you are part of the team, we ask you that you communicate within a reasonable timeframe. This allows us to give you feedback if such a thing should happen. We are not here to put the pressure on you, but we would not want to have somebody who does not communicate in months.
Thirdly, as with communication, we want to make sure you work with the team and not in your own world. This means that we make decisions as a team and not individually. If this is too much for you, do not apply.
Fourthly, if you have to leave the team for any reason, please make sure you let everyone on the team know so that we can take over or find another person to replace you.
Lastly, if you are out of line, you may receive a warning or be kicked directly from the team depending on the severity of the infraction. This is done at the project leader's discretion.
