What we’re working on
An arena sword-fighting game with moves based on historical martial arts systems, aiming for tactical variety and realism, presented with a unique and striking visual style. Our systems use a mixture of keyframed and procedural animation.

Our aim is an early access release within 2023.

Who we’re looking for
Applicants must have experience with animation and rigging tools in Unreal Engine and Blender, or transferrable skills. Ideal applicants will have worked on released games, but applicants with a portfolio of personal projects will also be considered. Our goals for this paid collaboration are:

  1. To ensure that our character rig is robust and error-free for features including dismemberment
  2. Working with our programmer, to refine the game's core combat animation systems
  3. To integrate specific features of the Advanced Locomotion System Community plugin

We’re based in Australia, but we’re happy to consider applicants from anywhere in the world, as long as you are able to receive payment simply and securely.

What we’re offering
A full- or part-time contract for industry-standard pay, plus a percentage of future profits. If our early access release is successful enough, we hope to be in a position to offer an extended or permanent position.

Most of the designed systems are in-game in some form, our team includes a highly competent and engaged programmer, and we have detailed documentation and a complete animation set ready and largely implemented. New and modified animation can be produced at short notice, so animation will not be a bottleneck.
