Seriously!!! Why didn't they let Sturnn survive? They let Gorgutz survive, Gabriel Angelos, and Taldeer throughout Dark Crusade. As for Crull and Sindri Myr, well, Chaos characters in the DoW campaign circuit tend to die off. *cough, like Lord Bale, Eliphas the Inheritor, Firaeveus Carron, cough*
Well, Eliphas dies but then he just comes back. Many times.
DoW 3 never happened and there are some item descriptions from gear during the Dawn of war 2, and dawn of war 2 retribution campaign that gives some evidence to a Guard victory in the Kaurava system.
That's kind of the most 40k thing though, the biggest coolest badasses always die in stupid ways for no reason.
Because a Guardsman's job is to die. No matter the rank.
He would truly be a coward (and a fool) if he was riding (hiding) in a Rhino (Metal Box).
