A lucky guardsman with a power sword would get the same outcome unless the Astartes in question is someone like Lysander or a Ultrasmurf.
Nonetheless we can all agree that they should be fighting foul xenos scum and not among themselves, but human nature will never change it seems.
Let's not be hasty here. It has been proven that Space Marines can fall to lesser men and Spartans can down larger and stronger enemies. Especially if it is John-117/Master Chief. Though lamentable that 2 super soldiers of humanity have to fight each other than killing aliens together.

yea im sorry but MC is basically an over glorified cross over between a Guardsman in carapace armor and Adeptus Astarties Scouts and even then he would be technically considered a primitive versions of the later.
This is nothing but pure herasy and also quite stupid as trying to make any other ScFi universe compete with 30 & 40K is like trying to see weather or not and infant could compete with and overpower a pitbull in combat ...
Simply put there is no comparison when it comes to 30/40k's level of brutality and the galactic scale alone.

but since this is Halo, well, Chief is going to have to deal with the Marine's battle brothers too. and their battle-brothers.

Are you referring to the Forerunners? If so the Necrons have a chance at beating them and perhaps the Orks with their ability to loot virtually anything and of course their law bending psychic abilities. I doubt any other would even have a slight chance, unless they ally themselves with them, something the Tau would certainly do.
indeed the only saving grace would be the divide and conquer tactic. But even then it all depends on how badly the opposing ScFi universe would want to wage such a war.
Also the second any such beings from a parallel reality would enter the 40K universe you can bet your collective ***** that the Chaos gods are going to "welcome" them as new pawns for their great game.
Basically Chaos alone prevents any other universe from being able to compete as well they have no rules they bend reality to their collective wills when ever they dam well please it ....
So how the **** is MC "or anyone else for that matter" supposed to resist that kind of corruption and taint let alone actually fighting it?

Assuming you are referring to his ultra smurfs and grey knights .... granted I like what slanesh did to that one grey knight by making him his / her personal bitch .... now if only we could also toss matt ward into the pleasure palace as well for good measure ... might not prevent the end times but its a start >_>
MC himself might actually be somewhat resistant to Chaos because he's an ice-cold mofo
but as the whole Cortana debacle showed, even his armor isn't completely without chinks

I'm not saying the folks here are unaware of that. But I have seen threads on various sites where people honestly get offended by this kind of thing. As if it somehow represents a direct attack on them personally. It's an image of an imaginary event.
It's all just entertainment. No matter how engaging it is.
