I dunno, considering how prototype walking robots being built even now have quite unusual weight distributions I don't think it's a great leap to imagine this being able to stand.

Don't forget what the actual materials may be.m They in all likelihood would be some kind of a super strong carbon based element and therefore compensate for the weight imbalance. :/
