All of the thanks to goes to Carnius for a great mod, I am thankful that you are kind enough to make this for me and the rest of the CNC community, without caring about any kind of pay or reimbersment. I and, I believe the rest of the CNC community really just want to say, THANKS CARNIUS! and thank you for coming to TEF.

The most memorable sight of them is from the first GDI mission in TS where they drop in right outside "Phoenix Base" over the persuing Cyborg.

Wouldnt they be a cool add for the GDI? Especialy if you could have it as a support-power. Maybe, just maybe you could even have it as an uppgrade, so when its researched, it replaces the OX-transport with Drop pods dropping down from above. Of course, that would only apply for infantry reinforcements, not vehicles. It's just a thought, but I think it might just work.

would be cool

Uhm... The problem is that infantry is menaged in squads. I have no idea about how it would be added in-game without fully copy that "Zone Reenforcement" (donĀ“t remember the name) support power.

That is the main issue indeed. But what if each one of the infantry-soldiers came in one drop-op, and then "creates" the squad?

A GDI paratrooper squad has 2 rifleman squad and 2 rocket squads, each rifleman squad has 6 or 8 units and 2 for the rocket squads.

This means we'd have to drop something like 18-20 pods on the field, even with each pod being sightly bigger than a unit it would still take too much room and it would get worse with the drop pod scattering.

For individual units it would be great like the commando but would suck for large squads, it may work for sniper teams since it drops 3 squads of two units on the field.

My take on this.... All reinforcements come from drop pods. Except you may need to make a new one that would contain 4 squads and 4 doors. As for vehicle reinforcements have a new drop pod model that can contain 1 vehicle. Then as for the power have the pods land where the Ox transport would of dropped them off. As for infantry pods have 2 sets a 3 squad pod and a 4 squad pod and that should cover all the reinforcement powers.

I've already been through the vehicle dropping with Carnius. They will stay in Ox-Transports.

maybe they can use parachutes? (like in generals)

i think that the non-use of parachutes in the tiberium saga is explained by the existence of tiberium spores in the air being transferred by airwaves.

I wont mind seeing snipers reinforcement via drop pod or maybe just replace the zone trooper drop pod with TS one. The new drop pod could look like TS one but bigger.

The zone troopers come in a drop pod just bigger and less cool looking than the TS ones

Part of the infantry could be placed on the field with the original TW drop pod, while, for zone troopers and other few units, there could be the reintroduction of the old TS drop-pod version. That's would give more sense to all.
