The Bombardment of Elom
Forces:
Republic: Admiral Airaviper's flagship, 15 Hamerhead class Cruisers, 30 blockade runners, 20 fighter squads, 40 bomber squads, and a sizable ground force.
Native Elom: Security Force stationed at their capitol.
Result:
Republic Victory, Elom succession from the sith, world gained for the republic.
The Battle:
The repulic saw Elom as a good planet to conquer from the sith (purpose held back for security reasons). The republic also learned that the sith had no presence on Elom. The native specious on Elom was loyal to the sith so the republic decided to bombard the capitol of Elom to destroy their security force. Hours later, the city was in ruins. The republic also jammed communication so the elom couldn't contact the sith. To hide this attack, Admiral Airaviper sent a small force to Thila to distract the sith. The sith ultimatly destroyed the force but at a cost. The plan worked and Elom is in Republic hands. The Elom also pledged themselfs to the republic.
Losses:
Republic: None
Native Elom: Entire security force, a million rebellious citizens, the capitol of Elom
Very good... It seems there is more to you than meets the eye... I would like to begin negotiations as soon as you are on again. You aced like a true sith, tricking us and masacring the city just to kill the security forces. I look forward to fighting along side you.
And btw, we shoot down some of your fighter squadrons with AA guns (you not losing anything isn`t realistic, and who cares if you lost a few fighter?)
It would be a nightmare to secure the city itself with millions of "civilions" trying to kill you, we had no use for the capitol. If you look at wiki you will see that the Elom were not very advanced, besides, we took out the city from space then sent in the bombers to put the rest out of their misery. The sith had no presence on Elom.
Wait. If the sith had no forces their what soever, you just took a neutral planet by force? Slaightering over 2 million just to take a nautral planet?

Yep. You proved yourself by killing a bunch of underpaid securtiy force who aparently had no Air defense and a by killing over 2 million civilians. Nice work, you should be promoted to "Leader of the World" >.<.
Admiral Airaviper proved himself by not revealing it was the republic who attacked Elom and not attracting the sith. Not many people could do that, I bet the rest of elom didn't even realize that the capitol burned if we hadn't told them. We gained the element of surprise.And no it was not a nuetral planet, there minds were brained washed by the sith and would attack our men on site. I heard that a republic tourist was killed cause he was from the republic, I hardly call that nuetral.
We had no presence on the planet whatsover. If they prefer the Sith to the Republic, it is not my problem. Anyway, we are negotiating peace, I suggest we not fight anymore :P
