In order to replace the MAAT as air support and still have a dedicated atmospheric unit instead of retooled starfighters. Research and Development of the Federation military has developed the ASF-24 Snowbird airspeeder.
Its primary armament is a set of heavy laser cannons and a limited payload of missiles for general anti-ground or anti-air purposes, the Snowbird is a very fast strike fighter and bomber and able to reach high speeds quickly, so as to cover ground quickly and support the army.
Its hull however is fit only to protect it from small arms to compensate.
"After the Kinyien Crisis, the Federation quickly realized that the MAAT would not be able fully fill the ground support role as new the atmospheric vehicles introduced by the Empire, allowed them to gain the upper hand. The result is the ASF-24 Snowbird Airspeeder.

However, the ASF-24 Snowbird sacrifices armor, only having enough to protect from most small arms fire. Thus it relies on its high speeds to avoid enemy fire."
Hey, you're the one who brought those annoying Gunships into everything. I was content with my MAAT's. xD
Now Praxis have the "I told you so rights" because he believed you would do exactly that. I said "If we don't do it, neither do they. MAAT's will be fine"
Now there is no telling what Praxis wants included in the army composition. We had a delicate balance me and Praxis. I blame you mister! xD
There are no Reliance class vessels on Chalcedon. So why are they there? And you never needed any protection for your troop transports as you saw ;)
Checkmate. :P
PS. See what you have done? Now Praxis want the Airspeeder to be called "Buck" and I have lost all diplomatic leverage. There is no denying it, this is your fault xD
I'm not just talking about Chalcedon, but in general.
Using a troop transport as a dedicated gunship is a bad idea, in my opinion. I expected you to have a gunship of your own, but you included two in one (bad choice, makes it more slow and easy pickings for any air unit xD).
So I made the IDT to be a heavy troop transport, same strengths and weaknesses as your MAAT (though without ECM) and another gunship to provide dedicated support.
Imperials: Efficiency is our motto.
Checked your checkmate xD.
Btw: Buck is an awesome name for a fighter. I lend my support to Praxis :P
I didn't post the airspeeder idea as a response to your ground fighter, I posted it because I thought the pic was cool and resembled the Snowspeeder so I thought "why not create a new airspeeder to work alongside the Reliance and our troops".
I just thought it would be a neat idea.
Though the "I told you so rights" are still present, they are irrelevant in this case.
Also:
"ASF-24 Snowbird-called-Buck Airspeeder.
I would run from that.
Or maybe ASF-24 Snowbird-designated-Buck Airspeeder, if you're feeling really fancy"
What the heck are you guys talking about? HH and I were discussing what the Airspeeder would be called, I suggested Buck because the ship is from one of the Buck Rodgers movies.
The sluggish and slow FED-20 airspeeder was infamous for it's light and inept armament, not to mention the cardboard hull.
happy?
:P
Perfect. I have no doubt its performance on the battlefield will be well worth the production costs. :)

Good bid.
Any competition to our candiate out there? : P
Do I get toast for my prize? Mandalorian honor demands toast!
Maybe...

That an adequate reflection of your suggestion?
Stop adapting to mah new units!
How we supposed to gain an advantage over you if you counter our every move!
*rages*
xD.

Hey! I wasn't going to risk troop transports to provide support for my troops! A dedicated gunship would be a much smarter idea!
I only brought them in cause you guys had the Reliance, needed an edge when it came to air support!
Check xD.

But you didn't have an air units at that time :P
"Efficiency!" and "Providing meat for the meat-grinder!" xD
Why.... WHY? I liked Snowbird :(
Maybe it could be a Snowbird called Buck?
See! Us Imps can compromise too, you know xD.
A Snowbird called Buck? Really? Lol
ASF-24 Snowbird-called-Buck Airspeeder.
I would run from that.
Or maybe ASF-24 Snowbird-designated-Buck Airspeeder, if you're feeling really fancy.
Both of you are dumb.

Its going to be called the Snowbird regardless.
Lol, we were kidding from the start xD.
Well, I was at least.
We were joking Praxis xD
I can't tell that from the internet >.<
Also... wrote that comment in the middle of the night... so brain wasn't responding to humor correctly.
Nah np, me and Ten have a lot of internal humor. I guess it might not have been easy to see :P
Glad you like my description, I like the modified one too.
Very thrilled to see you also like the name Snowbird.
