Why is Cadence considered as part of the royal sisters? She's not even close to them. Don't use the "wings and horn" excuse. She's not a sister to them, and she is not what I would call an alicorn: a pony with the abilities of all three pony races, and a heck of along life-span.
In this picture, it never mentions this group as "Sisters", judt hugs...
And she has wings and a horn, so by definition, she's an alicorn, and where does it say all have to be royalty or live forever, their only physical traits.
Well she does have a horn and a set of wings, so I would call her physically similar to Celestia and Luna, though not as extravagant like the magical mane...
As said in my last comment, it is never mentioned (That I know of) that she can also live forever.
Marrying a non-immortal (Shining Armor) would not make sense if you were immortal yourself, since your partner would eventually die, leaving you in sadness and loneliness.
I want to settle down hard facts and fight against logical fallacies in the show. This is probably want interests me the most in the show right now.
As stated, Cadance is their niece, and it does not say she is immortal, nor has anyone here actually, I keep saying that, it never says she's immortal!
Again I say that the sources that state she is Celestias niece are promotional ads, backcovers of DVDs and websites. It was never said in the show itself.
As far as the story goes, the introduction of Cadence raises a lot of questions- but she doesn't seem to have anywhere near the personal power of Celestia or Luna.
She's one of those characters that was brought in because of the episode itself required a 'bride role'. So yeah, she's made up and probably didn't exist in the writer's minds during Season 1.

Its just a drawing dude.
Drawings like these really get on my nerves. They try to import their ideas to my mind, and those ideas contradict those of my own.
Did you even read the description?
Do I want to care about the warning?
PEW! :D

Most pictures depicting Cadence try to imply that she's part of the royal princess family.
The term alicorn itself is fan made, and where does it say that she has the traits of Celestia and Luna?
wait, i thought cadence was celestias niece?
No one ever said that in the show.
It is her niece you plot hole, It was said in the show.
This was never stated in the show, only in promotional ads, which I can dismiss at will as not canon.

I don't dislike her as a character, but I'm interested to see if Hasbro will elaborate on the plot (story) implications of another Alicorn.
I wouldn't mind it being something for the fanfic writers to speculate on, though.
Apparently she will lead the Crystal Empire with Shining Armor in Season 3, so expect to see her again most likely.
Funny how it's crystal "empire", when it is a subject state to Equestria which is supposedly a kingdom.
