Your thoughts on a united earth, is it possible?
The music ruins this. Chaplin doesn't need the music to sound epic and i find the music just gets in the way of the weight of his words in some parts.
Other than that i agree with him of course. I find it funny how hes throwing his weight behind democracy, but look where thats led America now... The best type of system is a socialistic democracy such as Canada or Norway (as well as many other European countries). I'm sure anyone who lives in these countries will agree with me, and anyone whos tired of the American system will also Agree with me.
The American system can work quite fluidly actually- our problem was deregulation through the 60ish(google deregulation). I don't trust the government or any government for that matter with managing society to such a personal degree. The United States is not a democracy, it is a republic establishing the guidelines of smaller republics. Please study our government before you say anything against it, because I'm getting the impression you have a very limited knowledge regarding the subject of US government+history.

The only thing that would have any chance is an outside force, something to big and world changing or ignore- and even then religious wackjobs would most likely get in the way insuring humanities destruction.

Cultural pluralism is very unrealistic, I agree with deer. However, I do think we will unite someday- Humanity is growing closer together, our cultures will mold into one, and when that day comes, I hope for the sake of our existence as a species that human dignity and liberty has been retained through the centuries of societal evolution.
i think that the NWO will take over the world, not negotiate it into submission. either way they will succeed, they are already preparing for their control. i'm just interested how they will do it and it will be so much fun seeing things that dont make too much sense (unless you read it in the spirit as it was written in the spirit) make complete sense!! hopefully it will be in my life time:D

its called christainity its sole goal is to take over and control the entire planet by any means neccessary and control all minds. Thats your new world order, except its old and dieing because people dont want to be ruled by a imaginary god.
and yes the fall of the world order will hopefully be in your lifetime...
Humans vary, some prefer all to think the similarly and others would hate to come across someone vaguely similar to themselves. With this comes the impossibility of one united species. But to surrender the possibility is essentially throwing the baby out with the bath water.
I would not rule out the possibility of planetary, solar, or intergalactic government. The chance we will see any of those soon, a positive one no less, is very low.
Chaos rules, if it didn't reality would be a pretty bland, predictable, and ultimately a rather boring universe.

I think it's quite plausible that humanity will eventually unite. From individuals, we progressed to tribes, then villages and city-states, coalitions of settlements, and finally nations (in a relatively short time period). As I see it, global unity is ultimately just the next step in mankind's development as a species.
ok, i will no long argue from atheism as fact as long as the same goes for both.
and who says christains and atheists can't comprimise.
