We have two releases coming today, but first, i'll be writing about the oldest band in the lineup, Marigold.
Marigold founded in May 2012 with two members, Adam Steinberg (Lead Guitar) and Joe Rocco (Drums, Percussion), they founded doing covers of songs from Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Nirvana, the band rehearsed frequently doing recordings with various other musicians along the way. 3 months later in August, the band briefly became a three man trio. With the inclusion of Bass player Matt Eadie. But his time as a third band member was short lived, leaving just before their first performance. The band continued as a duo recording newly written songs and on March 2013, the band became a trio again with the inclusion of Kurt Ottaway (Rhythm Guitarist). During the period of January to July 2013, Adam became increasingly frustrated with the lack of dedication Joe had towards the band, Joe never spoke to Kurt, and Joe only did one song (Nostalgic) with the band for their first album (The Demo Album Prospects.) and the band did not rehearse for weeks afterwards, on August 1st 2013, Adam had enough and kicked Joe out of the band due to the lack of dedication.
He was replaced by Michael Steinberg (Drums, Percussion) and the band began writing for the first album, on August, 29 2013 they released their first material regarding the new album, they released the single Nostalgic, they then released their second single "Shotgun" on October 12, 2013, and their final single "Burst" on the 2nd of November 2013. Prospects was finally released on November 30th 2013 with recording finished on October 14th 2013. They also released Experiments EP on October 18, 2013
Marigold is recording to release their second album due out late 2014 - early 2015.
