OOC: Several factors need to be dealt with first.

1) Permission, there is a large amount of political fallout if you just send over an army.

2) The GLA would have been aware of a large army moving towards them.

3) You deployed an immense army by air, the costs would send Germany bankrupt for ages to come and not to mention the fact it is impossible in general.

dafuq? xD

ok first off mate, even though it was very large, well yeah it was very large, Germany would not go bankrupt from it.

As for Permission, as the American President i could send over 500 troops to any country i wish without approval, yes fallout would be drastic, but my point is i dont need approval :P

As for the number of tanks and IFVs dropped by air, ill have to agree, in that I dont even think Germany has the capability aircraft wise xD

Now if they were shipped over on a german task force, then that would be fine.

*The United States learns of the GLA base in Angola from exchanges of Intel between Germany and other allied countries and it too went about thinking of a way to uproot the GLA presence there.

When The President was awoken during the night to the daring move of German armored forces into Angola, the next morning he called a UN meeting and asked first for the German Forces to halt their advance and await for the approval to continue, and second to get the all clear to go after the GLA in Angola.

Also, SEAL teams were called upon to be ready to respond to any target or threat that may reveal itself.*

OOC: just guessing this would be how america responds, because they hate terrorism they will try to get approval to go after the Terrorists.

OOC: I'll go with a task force or two then. :P

*The two German task forces - Vorschlaghammer and Kreuz, each composed of three Leopard MBTs, five IFVs and half a dozen of infantry squads, were ordered to hold their advance to the GLA's base after receiving intel about the US wanting to get involved as well.*

*Meanwhile, in Germany, President Dietrich Staffenberg is on his way to the UN meeting in his limousine.*

*After reaching the destination, President Staffenberg was greeted by officials from the US, and of course, also the US President himself.*

*President Staffenberg took a seat, as with the other officials.*

*Given the large amount of time the GLA had to prepare and spread influence. The GLA infiltrators in the Angolan Army spread false information.*

*The Angolan command receives word of a retreating German force that was attacked by the GLA, command receives coordinates along with the message. Afterwards, communications are cut.*

*Artillery strikes hit the position of the Germans.*

*As the United States Diplomat to the United Nations enters the building, his cell rings and he answers it. He listens to a report about the Crisis in Angola and his face goes pale. He hangs up and enters the Assembly and takes his seat with the diplomats from the other nations around the world.

After the formal introductions are gone through, Thomas Benjamin, the US diplomat, stands and starts to speak.

"Ladies and Gentlemen of the United Nations, im sure you are all well aware of the situation in Angola. And now it has come to my attention that Angolan military forces have engaged the German Armored forces..." He explained and the room erupted into shocks and shouts.

"Now as we are keepers of the peace, we must ensure stop bloodshed and we must let the Angolans know that the German forces are there hunting Terrorists, not invading Angola for conquest. We must do everything in our power to ensure that terrorism is uprooted and brought to justice, wherever and whenever possible." He continued.

The others in the large hall began debating and discussing over the recent news and the US Diplomat took his seat.*

OOC: i hope that we can continue this as this will be an experiment to see how well the UN will work in this rp you know.

OOC: I'm going to make an exception for you but I do not know how you know about the friendly fire incident before even the Angolans knew >.<

*Angolan diplomat began to speak.*

"You are invading our country so you can root out terrorists that are not even present! Our military intelligence indicates there are no terrorists on our nation and reports have even reached our ears that the US and Germany want to invade Angola for its resources."

"Frankly, my people are outraged and we demand you leave at once or we will launch a counter offensive."

*President Staffenberg stood up, and exclaimed.*

"Our Intelligence Division found a GLA base somewhere in your country. If no actions are taken, they will take over the country and spread their ideology of terrorism elsewhere in the world. Germany has no intend to steal resources or to invade your country!"

*He then faced to President Thomas Benjamin of the United States.*
"Mister President, you are free to reinforce our act against the GLA on Angola, justice must be done against these insolent people."

"I decided that such measures must be taken, for the safety of the world and Deutschland - our fatherland." - He continued.

*The US diplomat watched both diplomats speak and raise their voices. He knew this was getting heated.

"Gentlemen of the United Nations, as a body to ensure that peace is maintained through out the world, we must first assure Angola that German forces are not trying to invade, but merely trying to help the Country and save it from a total terrorist take over." He explained.

"We must also order the Germans to stop all aggressions and wait for the approval from a majority of the United Nations before they can continue and even work with the Angolan military to eliminate the terrorist threat that has been discovered in Angola." He continued.

"We must allow President Staffenberg to present his intelligence, in way that doesnt cause problems with his intel services, but also that is sufficient evidence needed to go after the terrorists in Angola." He said.

"Maybe then Angola will stop and think and do a search themselves and discover the terror cell. Then we can allow the German forces to continue to advance on the cell in support of the Angolan military, but not before." He added.

He cleared his throat and took a sip of water as he looked around at the blank faces he was getting from around the room.*

*President Staffenberg orders his official to give the intel files for the Angolans.*

"Adolf, give the intel files to the Angolans. Give all images and the video tapes."

"Yes sir." - The official replied

*The official immediately goes to grab the suitcase filled with all the intel files for the existence of the GLA in Angola. Then, he approached the diplomat and hands him the suitcase.*

*President Staffenberg then faces the Angolan diplomat.*

"I hope you will do a thoroughly inspection with the intel, as it is clear that the GLA are in your country. However, I must deny the decision to depart the task forces out of the country. As it is vital to stay on full alert, in the case that you would confirm their existence."

OOC: Ori, not trying to sound mean here, but there is no rule in the rules about the 24hr mark, give them some moer time, it may be annoying but be nice, this is a lot more crucial to give more time then the SW rp as it leaves big repercussions for factions.

Description

At 0600 hours at an undisclosed date, Germany's intelligence division has found a GLA base somewhere around Angola. The German armed forces, the Bundeswehr, is immediately deployed to the country.

Two task forces were paradropped - callsigns Vorschlaghammer and Kreuz, each composed of three Leopard MBTs, five IFVs and half a dozen of infantry squads. They rallied and organized themselves after the drop, then they are headed to their destination. They were approximately 1-2 KM away from the "base".

The task forces are then headed to their main objective, which is to seek and destroy all GLA forces in the specified area. Capturing high-ranking officers is also a possibility, provided if they could find any.
