December 2009 defied expectations and featured some surprises.

First half of SGU season 1 available on DVD and Blu-Ray in Feb 2010.

The first half of Stargate Universe season one will be on the shelves in North America on Feburary 9, 2010. This will be a 3-disc DVD and 2-disc Blu-Ray release, as always, there will be many special features included, such as audio commentaries and behind-the-scenes featurettes. But the Blu-Ray version will have even more special features than the DVD version. RRP will be $49.98 for the DVD version and $69.99 for the Blu-Ray version. Read here for more information.


Second half of Stargate Universe season one returns to TV in April.

MGM has confirmed that the second half of Stargate Universe season one will return to the airwaves in the US on April 2, 2010 after the mid season break. The season finale is expected to air on June 4, 2010.


Stargate Universe renewed for second season.

MGM and SyFy have announced that Stargate Universe has been renewed for a second season. Production on season 2 is expected to start early 2010.


New game Stargate Resistance announced.

Firesky and Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment (CME) have made a surprise announcement that a new Stargate game is on the way. Stargate Resistance is a 3rd person shooter based around battles between the Tau'ri and Goa'uld. Firesky and CME are also developing Stargate Worlds which is still in development. Alaina Huffman gives birth.

Alaina Huffman (Lt. Tamara Johansen, aka TJ) has given birth to her third child on December 8, 2009. The newest member of the Huffman family is a baby girl, Charley-Jane. Congratulations to Alaina and family!


All 10 seasons of Stargate SG-1 available on Hulu.

If you are in the US, you can now watch any of the 214 episodes of Stargate SG-1 for free! But, you had better hurry as, SG-1 will be taken off of Hulu on May 15, 2010. Watch here (US only).

Well, I guess they are following BSG's example of releasing half a season at a time and then the full season afterwards. Which is stupid...it seems like a grab for cash.

Do what I do and wait til all 20 eps have been aired and they release the full season box! Eventually they might realize that these 10 ep box releases just annoy us!

(Tbh, you'd think they would have learned from the sales results of 'Heroes' and 'Lost' seasons doing it this way! Grrr!)
