SG DOW style game Thread - ModDB Stargate Fan Group

Hey guys,

Not posted anything before but I had an idea while playing Dawn of War II this week, and I wanted to run it past some people who would know!

How well do you guys think the Stargate universe would fit in this kind of game?

I was thinking you build a team in much the same way, the four heroes matches up exactly and the option to upgrade and collect new equipment would be awesome, Teal'c with the aircraft staff weapon for heavy weapons for example. If it ran like retribution you would be able to swap out one of the heroes for a squad, like taking SG3 with you for backup, or choosing to take Brai'tac and leave Daniel behind on a more combat focused mission.
Even the way the Starmap works, picking a mission by selecting a planet would match up nicely.

Its only a thought but I personally would love a game that worked like this. Taking the team through a series of missions and meeting new characters that could be integrated into your team, picking four to take on each mission.

What do you guys think on this? any comments or ideas would be awesome.
