Due to Notch's increasingly time-consuming duties, every now and then he overlooks a chunk of the universe he has not yet brought into existence. This is one instance of this phenomenon being observed by a mortal and in all cases, just a glimpse into the empty void completely destroys the observer's mind.

Ah these are so annoying and are possibly the cause of why the minecraft.net servers are often overloaded, because the only way of reliably fixing them is to relogin - which adds unnecessary load.

The missing chunks are because of the update in the attempt to fix other chunks..It's VERRY complicated..Notch was trying to fix specifix chunks and that fix caused other chunks to dissapear..

it looks like one of my chafts! no kidding its about same size
