Our beloved King Valdemar II have in secret launched a surprise campaign against the Swedish. An Armada of 100 longboats set sail at night and traveled up the Baltic Ocean to the most Northern parts of Sweden. With the Swedish troops near the borders to the south, large areas have already been taken and several towns and villages plundered for resources. 3000 Danes now march south while another 1500 troops draws the attention of the Swedish army to the South.
3000? Not even my armies have that many! Unless you are pooling them all into one "la grande arme"
Well, if even you do not have that many, how could you conquer so much? Lol
I thought it might be too many, but most are only militia/peasants and some are mercenaries, promised a part of the spoils. I think that should even it out a little.
Oh and if you want a little background to back this up. Denmark was doing really well around 1200AD
"The Great Period of the Valdemars 1157-1241
That is how Danish historians describe the period which followed. Under Valdemar the Great (Valdemar I), and his two sons Canute VI and Valdemar the Victorious (Valdemar II), the power of the Crown was decisively strengthened. The Wendic tribes which had terrorised the land were also defeated at this time, and the Danish territory expanded considerably. In 1169 the Danes took over Arkona, a Slavic place of worship on the island of Rgen, and put it under the Episcopal seat of Roskilde. In 1219 they gained control of Estonia during the crusades. Holstein was also incorporated into the extensive kingdom of the Valdemars and the town of Lbeck paid homage to the Danish king as their overlord. Danish power culminated around 1200, and Valdemar II rightly bore the byname Valdemar the Victorious."
