Description
Apparently there is a Prothean in the game.(Might be a squad mate some speculate). This image was leaked from the Art of Mass effect book that comes with the special edition of ME3. This picture is the depiction of a Prothean that will be seen in the game and a description of what the artists intended to create for the armor that is shown.
Ung...I hate spoilers.
I think I'll leave the group, at least until after ME3's released(No, I'm not raging at anyone, I just really hate spoilers)

lol, in ME2 you found out that the Collector's were Protheans... Did you expect them to look completely different? NO! of course they're going to look the same... Calling this is a spoiler is stupid i think because then you could consider ME2 a spoiler as well...
No, it's a spoiler because ME1 and 2 implied that the Protheans were all dead or turned into Collectors...Now apparently some(Or one) has survived. It's a spoiler, because I didn't know that, and now I'll be expecting it to happen in ME3 :/

ah ok, i understand what everyone means now. Still, as far as i'm concerned the Collector's survived for that long, so it makes sense a Prothean could have.
Especially since in ME1 we saw those big vaults where all the prothean scientists and such were in cryo-sleep or whatever... of course they were all dead but how many planets did the Protheans have? And how much do you want to bet they had more than one of those 'vaults'?
That's my guess for how they introduce him...
I think those scientists are in stasis on the citidel, at least 1 of them is

rofl this doesn't spoil anything its just a concept art from the art book. Also the collectors aren't proteans they are what the reapers made out of them, sort of. Some should play the games again and pay attention.
You find out the DNA of the Protheans were incredibly similar to the collector's (enough to narrow the Collector's species down to that fact that they were derived from Protheans... This is a FACT)
Also i don't know why you said we should pay attention, i mean take a look at these pictures, and then look at a picture of a collector from ME2. WOW they look exactly the same. Some should play the games again and pay attention.

It's not about knowing there is going to be a prothean. It's how there is going to be one.
vigil tells you about a dozen of protheans that returned to the citadell once the reapers were gone.
...and about their slow, painful, food-less deaths.
